I really enjoyed the first half of this room which has a beautifully built set with engaging and intuitive puzzles and a fantastic production design. The story and background music also really help set the scene. The second half is great as well, but I felt it became slightly more sequential which was fine for our group of 2 but might have larger groups waiting around a bit. The roleplaying and interactive elements are very clever and genuinely surprising. I also thought it was cool how it integrated a lot of classic fairy tales into the room. Overall it's a very good room, but I'm not fully sure I would say it is the second best escape room in the US necessarily. However, I would say it is one of the best ones I've done, and I really enjoyed it and loved how enthusiastic the staff was.

This is my favorite room at CU so far (all of the rooms are solid hitters)! I loved the storyline and set. The puzzles werenβt too challenging but the acting and theme were awesome.

This is a must-do in the area for its acting component, and the ending full of twists is a delight you won't forget. There's a full helping of magical delight here (especially at the beginning and the end); however, this is the easiest game of the lot by far, and I think the game suffered from being the last we played of the day. (So, play it first!) After so many great puzzles throughout the building, it was a surprise to see the puzzles revert to a much lower level of ... puzzling. (Without spoilers, several of these were "see x, place x" fare and no puzzle really stood out.) A friend told me after we finished, "I like single-layer puzzles, but not half-layer puzzles." It was a nice take on some fairy tale tropes, and the set is impressive, but here I might have been spoiled by other fairy tale games, which aren't my go-to theme to begin with. So, it didn't feel as special to me as I know it is to many people. Nonetheless, if you're more into sets and story than puzzles, and the fairy tale theme appeals to you, you can't go wrong here.
Amazing staff. Acting top-notch

This is one of the most incredible experiences ive had. As a kid who grew up with Magic Tree House i was absolutely elated with this game! The puzzles were fun and intuitive, our game master was fantastic! Absolutely a must do

This room was probably my all time favorite of those Iβve done so far. It is so detailed and immersive and unique. The game master is theatrical and creative and really just amazing. I canβt recommend this room enough. Itβs a must see!
One of the most immersive and amazingly creative rooms Iβve ever seen, and Iβve seen a lot! All the rooms at this location are unique to say the least and just all around outstanding.
They have some of most amazing staff members ever!

This game is a mastery in design, acting and set design. The puzzles and room interactions are whimsical and the hint delivery system is simple in concept but so elegant in its execution, only adding to the incredible "narrative" that you get to take part in. This game also gave us the opportunity to take on a role inside an escape room we never would have dreamed possible. I've never played anything like this game and I'm left full of wonder and inspiration from its mastery of everything that makes escape rooms great, plus their own additional spice. We were fortunate enough to have Eric as out game master and he thrived feeding off of the role play we contributed. His ability to improv while moving the story forward blew me away. We truly became a part of the story.

This room was the reason my crew jumped into a van a drove hours to Illinois. Would it live up to it's award winning height? Yes it did....100%. Easily a new addition to my top five. Large, innovative, clever, and most importantly fun. Eric our game host was probably a GOAT game host for me Our team had an absolute blast, and there were a couple of things I did not expect. Brilliant storytelling and just an amazing set design made that drive feel well worth it.

9 escape rooms
This was an excellent room with a lot of variety in puzzles and design. It would probably be my favorite room that I've done yet, had I not had a group of 9 where I felt like I missed some of what was going on and what had already been done, but that's not the room's fault.

This is only the second room I've done with a live actor, but it really impacted this room and added flavor.
High tech
Lots of RFID, very few traditional locks. There's some sound and video effects.
Fewer than 9! Perhaps 4? There is a lot to discover. We never had a point where everyone was standing around waiting for a single person to solve/do a puzzle.

Not at all
There are multiple rooms to search in, so smaller parties may end up rushing around more.
Hearing is required for at least some aspects of the room, and there is a lot of interaction with the actor over speaker. Some areas were slightly dark, but not to the extent I've seen in other rooms where you actually need a lantern. There are stairs to access part of the puzzle.
