It’s been years since you’ve last seen your grandpa, so you’ve planned a surprise visit to go see him. When arriving at his home, you find it vacant, covered in layers of dust. The bed is made, but appears to have not been slept in for ages, and all the food in the fridge has long expired. Where has your grandpa gone? You find a small notebook on his desk. It’s your grandpa’s journal! It contains notes about a holy guru known to his followers as “The Mole of The Mountain”, who promises to teach those who seek him the path to enlightenment. Intrigued, you set off to follow in your grandpa’s footsteps. The notes in his journal lead you to an abandoned scrapheap. You discover a giant mountain of trash within. There is a cave-like entrance into the trash heap. This must be where your grandfather went! You bravely venture forth into the cavernous mouth of this mountain of trash. What secrets await you inside?

This was one of the best rooms we have played- perfect difficultly and incredible immersive set. Blend of high and low tech. Almost all puzzles felt unique and new. The plot was INCREDIBLE. So silly but also just perfect for those who have done a lot and want something new!

TLDR: overall positive; excellent scenic design and puzzles but burdensome gameplay. First and foremost the theme and design of the game is (ironically) fresh - players burrow deep into a trash mountain. High marks for creativity and innovation in theme and story. The tone of the room is a pleasing blend of grungy steampunk whimsy. The maximalist set design with dozens of Easter eggs is a delight from an immersion perspective, but proved for frustrating gameplay. Despite being given black lights as an alleged way to help locate what to focus on, many things glowed that were not part of a puzzle. The simple fact was the overwhelming amount of set dressing made it very challenging to determine what was part of a puzzle. We unfortunately spent the vast majority of the game trying to locate what to do next rather than actually working on a puzzle. The style of the set dressing as well as the amount contributed to the problem - very text heavy and many things that have often been used as clues in other rooms. That being said, the puzzles were excellent. Clever ways to force the use of more than one person, creative analog interactivity, and satisfying feedback upon completion. Not too many locks/codes, good balance of tech. The hint system is playful and fun to interact with. I wouldn’t recommend this room for beginners, but enthusiasts and eagle eyed puzzlers will have a blast.

This was such a fun room! The story was very unique, and the puzzles were very well designed. Our GM was welcoming and explained some of the puzzles to us afterward. We had a great time - would recommend!

We had an absolutely fantastic time with a rich game play experience and tons of laughter. The puzzles had multiple tiers and there were multiple spaces. It was a little tight in the final space for five people, but we made it work. We are definitely going to need to come here every time we go to the Cape.

I feel like this would have been really hard for a smaller team and people who weren't seasoned escape room players. With five experienced players, it was a medium.

This was such a fun game full of easter eggs for the hard-core escape enthusiasts. They did so much with the space and created a fun and inventive story and experience with a blend of high-tech effects and fun low-tech physical puzzles. The twist at the end was delightfully funny. It was well worth the trek from Boston, and the town of Mashpee was also delightful to explore. Thank you to the owners who were so kind in setting up a tight schedule so we could play all three games one after another. This is a must play game, though we truly enjoyed the other two games. We can't wait to come back next summer and play their newest creation.

This is a great room. We had a group of 5, with 3 kids. 8 yo had no issues with spooky part. So much garbage, I kinda wish they had higher ceilings to add more. Our hardest part was getting started. Once we found the puzzles they were relatively easy. We had a little difficult time with one puzzle, because a piece had fallen and was hidden by some garbage. They made it more for the experience than the time and help make this our #1 top choice for escape rooms in MA.

This room is absolute trash! In the best way possible! This is by far the cleanest and most impressive pile of garbage I have ever seen. References and fun jokes all over, combined with the so many stories of the company’s past. Get the full tour after you finish the game if you can from the owners! It’s so worth it to admire the set even more. As for the puzzles and flow, it’s tough to know what to focus on in this overstimulating dark set, but it feels oh so good to organically find the gems of puzzles beneath the trash. There are a lot of unique tactile tasks that make it feel like we’re just kids goofing off in the dumpster. Luckily, you get a full 75 minutes to just soak in the junk pile and appreciate the litter. The hint system and animatronic technology is so well implemented! Nothing could prepare us for the story beats and humor associated with them. The fact that a puzzle gives us perhaps the best reveal of the game is a testament to why this game is TERPECA worthy. The incredibly kind owners, who are also big enthusiasts, tried to downplay their room before we went in, but it is worth the hype! We felt very lucky to have been able to experience the room right after it had gone through a long maintenance closing. I cannot emphasize enough how much fun will you have with this hot trash!
