Top Secret

I loved this room ! It’s was very challenging and in my opinion one of the hardest i’ve ever done! The room itself made you feel like you were actually in a secret base and we got to experience mission impossible when we were jumping through the lasers. Our gamemaster was extremely helpful and made sure to help keep us on track while if we started to overthink but also didn’t chime in too much. The experience was the perfect mix of serious and fun, if you’re ever up for a good challenge or critical thinking puzzle then this is definitely the room for you.

Some puzzles are trial and error.

Overall a pretty good room. The room had some cool effects and unique puzzles so overall it was a fun and enjoyable experience. The decoration was a little on the plain side, but it still fit the theme so that's understandable. One thing I didn't love about the room - it is linear but gives you the information for a bunch of puzzles at once. The barage of information is overwhelming given there is only one puzzle you can work on. To me it felt a little like a cheap way to increase the difficulty. I wish it would allow you to work on different puzzles simultaneously as there would be moment when a teammate was working on a puzzle and there was pretty much nothing for me to do. I also felt like the game master was a little liberal with their nudges. They were less nudges and more just telling exactly how to solve the given puzzle.

Overall, a solid room. Well themed, though a bit plain given the actual theme of the room. The second room was a rush of information that made it very difficult to identify the next objective. It was quite hard to not overthink many aspects. A solid, pretty difficult room. I wouldn't recommend a special trip, but definitely worth trying while in the area.

A fun room! Lots to look at and do. A bit of a slow start for us…but maybe we were shaking off the escape room rust. Make sure to not overthink!

I enjoyed the theme and puzzles in the room! The theming was great, and the challenges were engaging. Looking back, I wouldn’t say the room was particularly difficult, but my group definitely overthought a lot of things, which made it feel harder than it actually was. We didn’t escape within the hour, so technically, we failed—but they let us finish the game, which I really appreciated! There was only one puzzle I wasn’t a fan of—not because it was bad (I actually liked it), but because it involved a camera, and I’ve learned time and time again that I’m just not great at manipulating cameras in escape rooms! Thankfully, our game master was fantastic, providing perfectly timed help and just the right balance of guidance without giving too much away. They kept us from getting stuck in our own overthinking, making the experience even more enjoyable.

I would take any “👎🏼” reviews of Game over Jax with an absolute grain of salt. Their rooms and people are absolutely incredible. I can’t stress how awesome it has been to do their rooms. While this room was hard, it was SO MUCH FUN. Lisa our game master was incredibly kind and VERY patient. The owner is incredibly kind and cares a ton about his rooms. This room was incredibly fun and we were left screaming in joy when we made it to the end. Out of all the rooms we have done, this one by far, had us the most invested from start to finish. I can’t recommend this room enough if you’re up for a challenge, but ESPECIALLY Game Over Jax. A must visit if you’re in the area. Cant wait to do the next one Sunday!!!!!! ❤️
