6 escape rooms
On a surface level, this escape room looks very nice and has a lot of nostalgia baked into it. However, the puzzles were so obtuse and weird that the whole experience wasn’t that fun. We escaped with one second left, but without copious hints we wouldn’t have gotten half as far as we did.
Gameplay
I wish I could tell you if the game was linear or not, but I can’t because up until the last 15 minutes we had NO IDEA at all what we should be doing! About a dozen hints were used, and one code had to be given to us. The puzzles overall were very obtuse and you have to really think to figure them out, but the last puzzle was VERY well done. Also make sure to keep items where you found them as you play, it’s important in the later part of the game.
Atmosphere
Customer service
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
It was a murder mystery game, so you were finding who the killer was rather than trying to escape or get out. This only really came into play in the last 15 minutes, though.
Story
Each suspect had their own detailed lore, but the overarching plot was just a boring “find the killer” story. (Also there were many Agatha Christie references throughout, watch out for them as you play!)
Difficulty
Hard
The puzzles were very obtuse and we had no idea how to solve most of them without one (or many) hints.

Mechanical
Everything used locks, there was not one high-tech effect to be found.

Yes
One puzzle wasn’t working (and we couldn’t find the alternate solution they had) and we had to get the code through a hint.
