Train Robbery

THIS. This is why Morty & wonderful escape rooms go together like chocolate & peanut butter. I don't think I would've found this place without Morty which rated this as the best game in the DC area and as predicted, they were spot on. On to the game! The moment you walk in, you'll be dazzled. The attention to set design is amazing. (Obviously from the title, you can guess that this is a Western theme.). As someone who's done a number of rooms, I love coming across new and interesting puzzles & these did not disappoint coming across in both design complexity. They were challenging and intuitive. The ending was fantastic. I won't say more. Year after year, this room racks up awards. Do yourself a favor & go do this room. (Also, the more successful Cyber Racoon is, the sooner they can open their new room!)

Excellent room. The pacing and complexity of the puzzles were perfect for beginner or intermediate puzzlers, but there were also a number of more complex puzzles for experts too! The DM was also very jovial, kind, and didn’t stop smiling! Wonderful room, I wish I could do it again for the first time!

We went here for our wedding day!! (We said we could sign our marriage certificate if we got out!!) This was the perfect room for two escape room enthusiasts on our special day. The room was awesome!! The puzzles were challenging enough. The GM was so friendly and inviting!! Definitely couldn’t have asked for anything else!! Thank you SO MUCH!! Oh!! And there are phone chargers in the lockers!! Such a nice added touch!!

Even if you don’t need a hint, ask for at least one. Their clever way of getting hints is a fun addition worth experiencing.

Might be my favourite room in DC! (Or maybe second favourite after The Depths?) My team of three escaped and had a blast. The set is thoughtful and in good condition. It took us a little bit to get some momentum going, but the pieces fit together logically and creatively, with a mix of difficulties. Not too linear, which is nice in a group— we could work in parallel. Every puzzle felt well rewarded, and everything worked as it is supposed to. The pre-game rules video is absolutely the cringiest one I’ve seen in a very cringy genre, though. Well worth the drive from DC proper!

We added this room to our list after hearing such great things about it. The room looked beautiful with a lot of attention to detail. At first the room was a little overwhelming with so much to see and touch but once we starting solving puzzles we got in a grove. A couple of the puzzles we needed help with because the answer was not obvious and we were told to guess which we are not a fan of in escape rooms. Especially when their rules before going in stress not to guess answers. We struggled the most with a lock that we could not open and were told to just follow the directions and we wasted so much time they had to eventually come in and open for us. Overall the room was just ok frustrating at times which made it just not fun.

Well done room. Great puzzles, awesome set and attentive game master.

Thanks to Morty, on a visit to DC (my first time) we decided to have a less common tourist adventure and venture out to the top rated room in the area. This did not disappoint at all, with great props and puzzles and then a plot twist we absolutely loved. Very clever and I especially loved how genuinely old time saloon-like it was. Absolutely worth the train and bus rides (and half a mile jaunt when we missed our stop, oops) to get here and back.

So fun, novel storyline, great puzzles, large room to explore. I was hooked the entire time. LOVED IT.

This is one of the best if not the best escape room I have ever been to. We love it so much that we went twice to show to our friends. Can’t wait until they are done with their 2nd room. Random and unsuspecting location, don’t let that deter you.
