Defenders of the Sunken Realm

Best submarine/Ocean room I’ve played. Some really cool puzzles I had not seen before. This room is physical and has some tight spots but fit with what we were supposed to be doing. Really great room.

This was an awkward one. While the puzzles were fine (nothing spectacular), they seemed too far between and even random (one of the first intro puzzle's solution is just bizarre and at least prepared us to lower expectations for what followed). This lacks the detail of Quest in some pretty obvious ways (MINOR spoiler: the periscope shows the same image regardless of whether the submarine is in the depths or on the surface. For such a production-level this was surprising - and actually confusing if you notice it!). The acting we had wasn't on the same level we were expecting post-Quest, too, so everything felt a bit lackluster. If you can... play this before Quest.

This was my favorite room at this location because of its creative use of space and the overall fun experience it provided. One section can feel quite tight, so I wouldn’t recommend more than four players. Be prepared for some climbing and crawling if that’s a concern for your group. The beginning of the game felt a bit arbitrary and oddly executed, but once it got going, the room really found its stride. The core gameplay is where this room truly shines.

Another super immersive adventure from The Keepers of Balance! I will come back for every room this company creates. This one had a beautiful atmosphere and fun effects. It is quite physical and someone in your party will need to be able to climb and crawl. My party of 2 had a fun time with Parker and Connor as our guides! I especially love the ending!

The scenic design in the Keepers rooms are incredible. I have played a handful of submarine themed escape rooms but this one has nice tech that makes you feel like you are more on a submarine ride or 4d submarine movie. It was a little bit toasty in the escape room and one or two puzzles require much more physical ability than their other rooms.

Really interesting premise I’ll start with the story and immersion - just wonderful The story and set pieces were magnificent. Those two elements get a big heart from me The game play and flow … not a huge fan of some of the challenges. Less puzzles and more “go fetch” tasks Not my cup of tea but if that scratches your itch, this might be your game

If you ever wanted to travel the ocean depths like in the movies Atlantis, 20,000 League Under the Sea, or even The Little Mermaid, this is your escape experience.

This was an amazing experience. The live actors were great and the puzzles were novel. This was not a puzzle heavy experience and would be great for people who don’t typically do escape rooms. The immersive setting was amazing and made this a very fun experience for us! Shout out to Parker and Ian who made this so much fun for us!

We did this room with 4 people and had a lot of fun. We personally liked Temple of Light more but this is still a must do. IMO 4 people is a good number for this game. It might be a little tight with more than 4. Very well themed and cool tech. Puzzles definitely fit the theme. Some physical challenges that require climbing and crawling. Actors/GMs were a lot of fun. Great climatic ending.
