Absolutely incredible. This is the single greatest set I have ever seen in an escape room, it just kept going! Room after room after room, each with something completely unique. There were so many things in this room that I have never seen or even imagined before. I am just so impressed. If you are an escape room fan in or near Madrid, this is an absolute must play.

I loved this room so much. I always enjoy magical/whimsical type rooms and this one blew all the other ones out of the water for me. We had 5 people and there were some cramped spaces but that was fine for me. There were some unique puzzles and nothing felt out of place. I would highly recommend this room to anyone but know it is very much an experience as it is an escape room.

Gameplay

It was very magical, the set design was really well done and the game flowed well.

Atmosphere

Spectacular. I felt immersed the whole time, there were unique puzzles and everything felt very on-theme.

Customer service

Everyone was very nice and welcoming and the actors were so great.

What an amazing experience! An immersive story, good puzzles, great acting, and a fantastic balance of puzzles and story telling. Comparisons to Magnifico are inevitable, and while I loved both, I think I actually enjoyed this one more -- the puzzles to story ratio worked better for me. I wish I could immerse myself in the Magic Universe world even more!

Wow. This deserves the praise it gets and pushes the escape room medium forward. It is a true immersive experience caring about the cinematic element as much or more than the puzzles. That said, it is still an escape room at heart and lovers of that should experience it if possible. It is a bit far on the outskirts of Madrid, but make the time - it is worth it.

Gameplay

Every aspect was well done- truely the best flow with attention to set detail and puzzle variety.

Most immersive set I have seen

Unbelievable set, amazing actor performance and interactions, satisfying puzzles. It's easy to see why people like Magic Universe; it was my favorite of the 37 games we played on our Spain trip and one of my top games ever. Our Valazar(?) had some of the funniest and memorable improv skills I've seen, making her roles much more impactful than the script would suggest. That's not to say the game is perfect. I thought the ending was underwhelming, and would have loved another actor scene or two. Some puzzles didn't feel like the lived up to the grandeur of the set they inhabited. Having now played all of Magnifico, Magic Universe, and Monster Mashers, I think Magic Universe stands out for the best set and actor interactions. I still personally prefer Magnifico because I thought it had a better story, but all are very strong.

Absolutely magical experience from start to finish โœจ The room captures the feeling of a Harry Potter-inspired universe with incredible attention to detail. I found myself stopping in every room just to admire the masterful set design and how much effort went into creating such an immersive world. The puzzles fit perfectly with the theme, making every challenge feel like a natural part of the magical universe. The biggest highlight was the interaction with the actors; spontaneous, professional, and clearly very well rehearsed. Their performance added so much to the atmosphere and made the whole experience feel alive. A fantastic escape room for anyone who loves strong immersion and storytelling.

The expectations were extremely high for this room as it is #2 TERPECA of 2025 plus here on Morty as well as on other review sites people praise this room immensely and say it fully delivers to its hype. For me, it somehow did not unfortunately. Of course this is an amazing room: the setting is incredible and everything including lights and sounds are extremely well designed. The world you enter is just wow! Also the live acting is supreme - 3 actors even. But nevertheless my overall feeling when leaving wasnโ€™t โ€œOMG, this was the greatest Escape Room everโ€ but more like โ€œtime really well spent; I will remember the set and incredible size of this forever, but I probably wonโ€™t remember many of the puzzles or tasks nor specific details of the storyโ€. Thatโ€™s probably because the tasks are a lot of search & find things or follow an instruction/ pay attention to where something is in a spotlight right now โ€œpuzzlesโ€. Not really the types of riddles I personally enjoy the most. Also the acting is too long for my personal taste at times. Really great and enthusiastic actors, but I came here to actively touch and solve stuff, not to stand around and be a spectator in a theater. Still, obviously this was a really great experience overall - money well spent, we had a very good time! Itโ€™s just not one of my most favorites rooms in Spain, there are other rooms that I personally enjoyed more and whose stories and puzzles I will remember for longer.

Wow, we loved being swept away and wish we could hold onto the magic a little while longer. Magic Universe was so well executed, set so vast, magical, and the actors were superb. This is an absolute must-play and destination-game worth the trip. I think this is the best game in the category of 'story telling' and the actors' performances (especially the main character) was unreal. As people who are not the hugest fans of musicals and theatre, but can appreciate a good show and performance, our session hit a sweet spot perfectly, in performance and duration and relevance/enjoyment/context! It's hard not to compare this game to Magnifico, (and we even chatted about it afterwards with the actors/game masters). I think this game is comparable and for us, even tops Magnifico. From our perspective and personal preference, we normally prefer escape games with great puzzles, and care little for cut-scenes. Magic Universe hit a nice balance of good puzzles wrapped up in bursts of cute immersive theatre, in a massive, beautiful and extremely well-built and high-tech set. Puzzles ๐Ÿงฉ: 10/10 Set/Wow Factor โœจ: 10.5/10 Story/Immersion ๐Ÿ”ฎ: 10.5/10 Fun factor ๐Ÿค˜: 10/10

My wife and I were in Madrid for vacation, so of course I had to bring her along to Magic Universe. The quick summary is yes, I believe this deserves the #2 spot in the world (I have also done Magnifico). Did at as a team of 2 with my wife and we managed to finish it about 12 minutes early. Let's start with positives: 1) The scale and scenery is top notch. Puzzles are "overproduced" in the best way. 2) Our actresses were amazing. One even had a perfect British accent, haha. 3) Very strong sections of puzzles. Loved all of the first few "rooms." 4) A lot of "wow" moments However, a couple of things are keeping it from being perfect: 1) cutscene effect: I'm not against these per se, but an important part of escape rooms is agency and interactivity. I think even adding 1 or 2 audience interaction in the longer cutscenes would be nice. Minor nitpick 2) Major nitpick: finale puzzle was extremely weak: grand scale but confusing controls. Thinking back I'm not even sure if this was a puzzle because I guessed through it and apparently succeeded. The story also ends on a confusing note. And this is the last impression you leave with. I still unequivocally recommend it, of course. If they find some way to shore up the finale, the debate for #1 will be much more intense in the coming years.
