Oh. My. God. 😳 This is hands down, no contest, the best game I have EVER played. It’s not #2 on TERPECA for nothing! 😍 Words can’t describe how absolutely phenomenal this game is!!! Every single room, every single part of the entire game was an unforgettable experience! The set design was AMAZING. The lights, sound, and live actors work together to create an INCREDIBLE atmosphere and experience! The experience starts the moment you step through the front door. No GM to greet you, nothing to detract from the immersion. You. Are. There. And my goodness the story, the live acting, every part of the game had me slack jawed and giddy for more!! In terms of gameplay, the puzzles weren’t too difficult! It’s very much about the experience! They make great use of lighting and sounds to direct you to the answer and if you need a hint, the live actors will come out and help you along through acting. There are moments of complete darkness, but those are there to help the magic along! Not scary at all! For any kiddos and fans of Harry Potter, or, hell, if you breathe and are able bodied, you’ll love this room!! It’s not even a room at this point, it’s an entire castle and then some! They take lots of inspiration from Harry Potter, but the room stands fully on its own! No outside knowledge necessary at all! I highly highly HIGHLY recommend Magic Universe to anyone who has the opportunity to go and experience this MAGICAL escape room! Trust me, you won’t regret it! Some extra info! The location is slightly hard to find. You’ll arrive at a warehouse area. Go through the gates and straight around to the back where you’ll see a door with the signature M on it with a plaque on the side! There is an intercom to ring and get in!
Gameplay
Super fun!! The puzzles were fun to solve! Not a lot of seeking, they use lights and sound and theatrics to guide you to what you need to do!
Atmosphere
Hands down AMAZING. Every inch of this was magical and I did not want to leave 🤣 If I could spend all day there, I would!
Customer service
Very immersive! You don’t actually see a GM break character until the very end for pics and stuff!
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
Just. Yes. The entire thing, yes. Nothing like it in the world. One of a kind experience!!
Story
The story was more a guide for the experience, as it should be and I hear they’re currently in the process of adding a follow up story for another character 👀 Let’s say I will DEFINITELY be making a trip back to Spain just for this! 😍
Difficulty
Medium
Perfect difficulty I think! Just enough to require some thinking, not difficult enough where I’m frustrated to taken out of immersion or need hints!
Game tech
High tech
SUPER high tech! In so many ways I would spend all day picking the brain of the designers if I could!
Ideal number of players
2
We went in as a group of 2 and I think it was perfect! Nowhere did I feel would be better if we had more people! Some places might be more cramped if it’s too big a group. Absolute bare minimum of 2 people though. Can’t do some of the puzzles alone.
Scary
Not scary
There are moments of complete darkness, but that’s when the magic happens 🤫
Minimum age
6
Honestly, it’s not a difficult game and a lot of it is about the experience! Even if they don’t do a single puzzle there, just as a bystander I’d enjoy my time too! 🥰
Was anything broken?
No
Live actors
Yes
Yup!! Not there to scare you! Phenomenal acting!

Somewhat
Climbing ladders (like actually), sliding down some spaces. You need to be able bodied. I’m not sure if the GMs are able to open doors to bypass those areas 🤔 Maybe try asking!
Accessibility
Able bodied, as stated above!
Easy to find location
Yes
It is, but you just need to know where to go! Arrive at a warehouse, across the street is the restaurant El Trebol. Go through the open gates and drive around to the back of the warehouse. The door is brown and unmistakable! Ring the intercom to be let in!

Easy
