I SHOULD NEVER HAVE OPENED THAT BOOK… From the very moment it was opened, I’ve been alone… I can see you, I can hear you, but I can’t speak to you… I can no longer control my body… I can’t even ask you for help… This thing now lives inside me… It says it was waiting for me… it was waiting for all of us! You have to get it out of me! I’M SCARED!!! I keep hearing it scream the same phrase inside my head, over and over… YOU’RE ALL GOING TO DIE TONIGHT!

This is a truly good escape room with lots of good jumpscares and the (purposefully gimmicky) splatter - wear white if you can. This is first escape room in Athens I played where I felt they nailed the puzzles in addition to the scares - and a game which knew it was gimmicky and played into it. While I've been surprised by how highly most of the escape rooms in Athens are ranked, and this isn't an exception to that, I can see the argument here: it's a blast...literally. Don't travel to Athens for this, but play it while you're here.

Splatter and I didn't hate it!! This game is full of the Athens tropes, but it's probably doing the best job of making it feel justified and fresh. It's actually very well done, probably the best cinematics in Athens. The puzzles, the story and the set all hit the right spot - It knows what it is and it's delivering on that. Everything is also a bit ridiculous, therefore I did not find this one scary. Yes, this game is splatter and you won't leave dry, but the blood you are sprayed with is very concentrated so that it should be washable. Also, the space did not feel gross at all, you can't even tell where the splatter happens. That said, it was fun for once, I don't need more games attempting this. I'm also not the biggest fan of blood and gore in general, so that's my personal minus point. I would recommend this game if you are in Athens. It's also perfect for horror beginners. It is loud, so bring earplugs.

This is a horror game, but it's focused a lot more on the cinematics rather than actually terrifying players.

Evil Dead—splatter horror often comes at you like a drunk with a chainsaw. That’s here. But the choreography the performers use to communicate action is almost like dance. The puzzles are some of the more unique in Athens. It’s a blood soaked circus with hints of art.

This room is pretty amazing for many reasons. It’s recommended you watch the 2013 Evil Dead if you want to get the full experience in connection with the series. But even without that it’s an incredible experience with such a theatrical and cinematic feel to the room. Just a blast!

The "Evil Dead" horror escape room by Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat in Athens, Greece, is an absolute masterpiece of immersive horror. It sets the standard for cinematic splatter gameplay. The opening sequence is worthy of a movie, instantly drawing players into the story. The recreation of the iconic, isolated forest cabin—the game's primary setting—is flawless and incredibly detailed. The effects are Hollywood-caliber. The timing of music, lighting, and jump scares meshes seamlessly to bring iconic scenes from the source material to life. "Evil Dead" is officially marketed as "Full Cinematic Splatter Horror," and rightly so. The game employs fake blood and gore effects at a level that is both artistic and gloriously over-the-top. Players don't just see the blood—they smell and feel it. The standout feature is the incredibly powerful acting. The performers operate right inside the room, mere centimeters from the players, completely uncensored and fully committed physically. Their performances draw players emotionally into the narrative. The puzzles range from easy to moderately difficult. "Evil Dead" by Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat is not your typical chainsaw-scare game; it is a brutal, beautifully staged piece of interactive horror theater. It strikes a perfect balance between gore, psychological terror, gripping acting, and an intense atmosphere.

Evil Dead by Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat was the 3rd game of Day 6 and the 18th and final room of our Athens Escape Tour 2026, played with the same team of five. This was a fantastic way to close the tour, and it easily ranks within my Top 5 experiences of the trip. From the very beginning, the game fully embraces the Evil Dead universe, recreating its dark and intense horror tone. The environment, sound, and lighting all support this beautifully, but what truly elevates the experience is the acting. The performance level here is amazing. Unlike many Athens games where actors are partially separated (behind windows or walls), here the acting happens fully in the open, right in front of you. It’s intense, immersive, and incredibly well executed, creating a much more direct and impactful connection with the story. A standout feature are the splatter moments that take the immersion to another level. Highly recommended to use some white t-shirts. Combined with iconic references and scenes from the films, it creates some truly unforgettable moments that fans will especially appreciate. The puzzles are on the easier side, which fits perfectly with the experience, allowing the focus to remain on immersion, acting, and adrenaline. Everything comes together into a high energy, memorable finale to the tour. Highly recommended for horror fans and anyone who enjoys actor driven, fully immersive experiences.
