I can hear you

I Can Hear You by Entered was the 10th and final room of our Escape Tour NL/BL 2026, and the only game of the day, a fitting way to close the journey. From the very beginning, the immersion is immediate. The tension stays high throughout, constantly making you feel alert and slightly uneasy about what might be waiting just out of sight. The game plays heavily on anticipation and psychological pressure. The space is used intelligently and as it was, layered with props that reinforce the narrative and atmosphere, character style from Entered. We played as a team of four, and that felt like the ideal size, enough support without losing the intensity. As expected for a horror driven experience, the puzzles lean toward the easier side, allowing the focus to remain on atmosphere and adrenaline. That said, some puzzles were genuinely enjoyable and satisfying to solve. The story is clearly present, though mainly delivered through written elements. For some players, an audio, video, or actor-driven delivery might have worked better, especially given how difficult it can be to focus when your senses are on high alert. We finished with just two minutes extra, and despite the tension, there were also a few genuinely funny moments for us. The actors did a strong job committing to their roles, sustaining the pressure throughout. The full two hours flew by. Highly recommended, especially for fans of intense and scary experiences.

We completed the experience with a small group of three players. As it was our first horror expercience, we didn't really know what to exspect, but it was really awesome. The thematic instructions we received up front were clear, but left a lot to the imagination. At the location, we were well received and the game started at the correct time. After receiving instructions, we went at it. The game proceeded very well: little tension at first, but that changed! The constant push forward was aided by the actor, we had to 'run for our lives'. Some nice scenes were involved and the story was thrilling. After the game we had ample time to comment and review our progress. The gamemakers really took their time: their passion about horrorgames is evident!

Horror isn't my favorite genre, but I think I Can Hear You did a great job at setting up and delivering on tension; I think it's the best example of its particular genre that I've played so far. The core game mechanic felt solid, and I liked the way the story unfolded. As you might expect from a horror game, this isn't very puzzle heavy.

"I Can Hear You" has finally been rebuilt and is back in 2025. Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to play the old version and was all the happier about this new release. The game was a lot of fun. I, as someone fairly experienced in horror escape rooms, played it with a friend who had no previous horror game experience, and we both loved it! All the acting moments were perfectly paced and had professional timing. The story made perfect sense, and the setting was very authentic. We lost all sense of space and time and were completely immersed in the game. These are clear signs that Entered has done everything right with this experience. If you're looking for challenging puzzles, you won't find much in this game. But that's not Entered's brand. They create a horror experience and are simply very, very good at it. Comparable games would be "Don't Take A Breath" from Athens and the sadly closed "Stay In The Dark." It's important to emphasize that the exciting core mechanics of those games were first used in the old version of the room in Entered. If you've played those rooms, you'll know what I mean.
