Prison Break

Great room! Saw some of the others here and went with a bigger group (5 adults 2 toddlers). We got out with a decent amount of time left. The room looked very cool and was entertaining, especially for the kids they loved the jail cell. There was one lock we were able to skip on accident and made it decently far but had to back track. We should not have made it as far as we did without the lock being opening but we were able to figure it out without the lock. Was slightly annoying but the game master helped us go back to the lock we needed to get what was needed. It happens though so we weren’t worried about it and kept having fun just ended up taking a 5 mins hit unfortunately. Very fun and very cool room!

I liked that there were two distinct settings, yet not a lot of walking back and forth. It was nice change to sit down and work on the puzzles at desks in chairs, a consideration depending on your group. That might actually be very nice for players who re less mobile who don't want to do a lot of constant walking/bending/squatting. The clues were fun and Def had some Aha! moments.

Fun prison room that felt a bit distinct from others of its kind! Unlike other ones I’ve played, all players start together and are trying to solve a mystery of who framed you using evidence. There is a lot to do though, so our small group of 2 barely got out with just a couple minutes to spare. There are a LOT of locks, digital, physical, and otherwise. And a bunch of reading or at least skimming is necessary, even if some of the information is unnecessary or extra. The hardest part was trying to organize all of the information and keys. It’s not always clear when you have like 5 locks in front of you constantly. Also, it seemed like the keys were somewhat interchangeable for us, which the GM didn’t know about. All in all, I still had fun with the room. The puzzles were tricky, but fair. The final puzzles were interesting. And the story was juicy and had enough clues for a mystery lover like me to piece together. Case closed, one truth prevails, there is only one truth!

Different because at the end you put together clues and have to tell your GM the answer to the overarching plot. The room itself is a bit too chill and mellow though. The theme “prison break” has a sense of urgency and excitement but there wasn’t really any of that in the room.

Ok room with some decent puzzles and a pretty well done set design, can’t really achieve prison escape vibe.
