Le Château du Supplice Éternel [The Castle of Eternal Suffering]

This was such a unique experience! A great blend of puzzles, story telling, physical activities , and surprises! You truly are part of this story and your actions move things forward. This had several elements that I have not seen in an escape room (played 660), so that was a plus! It’s absolutely in my top 5! -note- I wouldn’t say it was “scary”, and would say more spooky. I think the 16 yo age minimum is a fair policy for this game.

This experience encompasses everything that I want out of escape room. Adventure, discovery, story, mental challenges, big physical challenges and above all surprise elements. IF YOU CAN, AVOID SPOILERS AT ALL COSTS! The ‘surprise moment’ in this game was one of the most thrilling I’ve ever had. I think people who have moaned about it are just suffering from ‘whatabout-ism’. All of the safety measures and disclaimers are in place for this moment and it’s SOOOOO cool and fun. The story of the game was heartfelt and exciting. The puzzles had a decent challenge to them while the physical elements of the game made a huge impact on the enjoyment of the experience. Overall one of the best escape rooms out there proving once again that Quebec Province is a leader in the escapes industry globally.

Phenomenally designed game that is completely deserving of its TERPECA ranking. Like anything, not every game is going to be for everyone and this one certainly won’t be for everyone. If you’re comfortable with its unique elements, you’re sure to have an incredible time. Side note: the owner Steven and his manager Shawn are incredibly kind people who are deeply passionate about what they do. If they’re there when you play, say hi!

Sauve Qui Peut has seriously levelled up with The Castle of Eternal Suffering. They’ve built an immersive, fantastical world with interesting characters and beautiful environment. Every time we entered a new space it was exciting because we didn’t know where the story and gameplay was headed next. As a colourblind player, there were more colour puzzles in this game than I think I’ve ever encountered in a game. But because the puzzles were so engaging, I didn’t mind it, and my helpful teammates coached me through them, allowing me to participate.

What an incredible game! The world of this story felt near completely immersive, the puzzles were challenging and fun. There was a balanced mix between physical action, communication, logic, and creativity needed to escape. There was snakelike 1 area that was a non-intuitive puzzle to solve due to the decor not matching the rest of the (very skeletal) theming, and we got ssssstuck on that for a bit. The ending was really unique and surprising! Great lighting, sound, and practical effects throughout.

A superb, well-rounded experience—a beautiful, fluid story that integrates seamlessly with the puzzles without veering into immersive theater. The interactions with the actors and the “surprises” were a real highlight—very well done.

Great game—add it to your bucket list

An absolutely incredible room and the undoubted crown jewel of SQP. From the size and exquisite decor of the set to the immersive lighting and sound effects, media and animatronics, and wide range of challenging puzzles, everything about this room was world class. Backed by a strong story and featuring multiple wow moments — including a fun physical component and one of the best and most unexpected “jump scares” ever — this was a true pleasure from start to finish. The presence and design of the live actor was the cherry on top. My only regret is that we finished the room way too fast (leaving 33 minutes on the table) and should have taken more time to appreciate the experience. Unquestionably worth the drive from Montreal, or in our case, the flight from Australia.

This game is totally crazy! The puzzles are super interesting, and the story is well-developed.
