Unfortunately, cruise ship escape rooms do not have private games. Was put in with a large family group, and felt a tad like the 10th wheel.

Surprisingly a really fun room! Being paired with strangers is always a gamble but we ended up with a great team of 12 people

I was surprised at how well this game was constructed. Puzzles flowed well and we don’t need to use any hints

It was a fun theme and vibe in the room. It is definitely suited for 6-8 people, but they want to take more money with 12 people. I enjoyed the puzzles and would have enjoyed solving them on our own. Instead the staff was present in the room and was telling us what to do the entire time. They'd literally take fake pieces out of our hands and tell us they're not needed in the puzzle, assigning us positions for a puzzle, or tell us we can't work on certain puzzles yet. None of this was prompted, we got out in 25 min, we did not need the help. They also reset the puzzles immediately after we solved them which was confusing and not helpful. It literally caused problems when we had to refer back to previous solutions and they weren't there. If the staff just observed, I feel this could be a fun room with interesting puzzles.
The staff was nice, but they ruined the experience. They were telling us what to do to solve, physically taking pieces out of hands, or telling us not to work on certain things. I felt like we were in school. Also not helpful resetting all of the puzzles immediately after we solved it, that caused some issues later in the game.

Fun game, 12 folks in there but enough to stay engaged.

A quality room at sea! I was bummed to be grouped with other guests, but I understand it’s the only way to allow those who want to play to experience the room. I feel the price should be lower because of this. Still, it was a quality room with great atmosphere and a mix of challenging puzzles. Our team even set the all-time- record for this room and received patches for doing so!
Mixed types of puzzles, some challenging parts. But we’ll put together

This is a shared experience for up to 12 year people on Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas. I think an ideal number would be closer to 6-8 people, as it’s just one room that can feel crowded. This was my favorite of the two escape rooms onboard the ship. Uniquely, the game master sits in the corner of the room for both experiences onboard and thankfully ours was amazing for this room. She was very helpful and encouraging without inserting herself too much. The theming of the room is solid and there are some challenging puzzles that require solid communication and team work. I would recommend this room if you have a combo of enthusiasts and newbies vs the other room.

This was a good room, it flowed well and the puzzles made sense, nothing broken, would recommend. The only downside is that the size and puzzles are suited for about 6 people max and the cruise line books 12 (presumably so they can get double the money), but it would be much better with only 6 people.
