Star Diner

We had 11 people in this room and it was too many. My husband and I sat around a good bit of the time. Also we were paired with people who did not want to allow others to participate and the game master actually had to step in to tell her to listen to what I was saying as she was blatantly ignoring me. Overall this game would have been much better with less people (6 max)- especially since they had to reschedule us multiple times due to less than 6 people being signed up. We disliked the experience with all the people so much we cancelled our reservation to the other room on the ship.

It was a cute room with many fun puzzles for all ages. I would recommend it. I am glad we did not have the 12 maximum group in our room. We had 9. Thankfully our group worked well together.

Room was small and definitely not made for 12 people, but that's how many they shoved inside. Decorations were fun. Some of the puzzles were not well put together or thought through. The staff was in the room with you and constantly told you what to do, was taking pieces from you and giving puzzles to other people, or telling you not to work on certain tasks yet. None of this was prompted or necessary, it made me feel like I was back in elementary school. Staff was also encouraging people to memorize stuff to solve a puzzle, which was not necessary (And shouldn't be necessary in a decent escape room), but there were not enough activities for people to do otherwise.

Game had a lot to do but still linear. Had 10 others in our game and still had a great time.

This is a shared experience on Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas and it typically runs pretty full with 10-12 people. It’s also just one room, so they packed ALOT of puzzles into the space. Some of the puzzles are excellent and others didn’t really land. I think it’s worth doing the room if you’re an enthusiast and can work well with others.
