I wouldn't say the escape room was "difficult" more so than confusing. My biggest problem was that the puzzles are extremely linear and it was extremely hard to tell what puzzle was the solution to which piece. At one point, our group of 4 was staring at one puzzle for 15 minutes and none of us knew what to do or where to go from there. A few of the props broke - a lock fell off at one point. There was a lot of misdirection and too much random information thrown at you which honestly is too much in a 60 minute time crunch. There weren't even that many actual puzzles, we were just dumbfounded a lot of times as to what we're supposed to look at next. My friends were still in the other room trying to decode non-existent puzzles when I escaped. My friend heard the congratulations and he was audibly confused and said "wait we won?" I was really hoping to like this as I loved the anime and I thought the theming was going to be cool. It was fairly disappointing.

The room was very difficult for 2 people (so difficult it made it less fun), and might be easier with 3 or 4, but the puzzles were unique and the storyline was great/also unique.

The experience was immersive and did the source material justice! The room was overall very difficult. Though we escaped with two people, some puzzles were really complex and may not be doable without hints. I think two people is a good number for the room because the puzzles weren’t large-scale activities so other people will likely end up just watching.
