Geno's Getaway

We visited the location the day before it sadly had to close, so this review is more for my own memory than for anything else. Loved that there was an actual car in the middle of the space but found the game itself rather frustrating. There was one puzzle in particular that was so obtuse that even all these months later I still sometimes whine about it.

A fun experience overall. If you’re in the area and need something to do, go for it! Heavy use of locks, but not in an overwhelming way.

This room was so much fun! I think it would be a lot for 2 people so the 4 of us was perfect. Loved the amount of puzzles. We love a Non linear girly :)

Ehh. Not awful, but a miss from Fox-n-Otter for us. Poor sense of flow, too many four-digit combination locks, and an overall calibration that didn't make sense for a two-person party, as the host noted afterwards. (The website lacks guidance on suggested party size.)

There were puzzles that certainly felt out of theme, but we can look past that if we are enjoying the overall game, which we did. We needed help a couple of times on what to do next. You also find keys, props, and clues earlier than you can use them. This seems to be the trend with Fox-n-Otter games. While that increases the difficulty, it’s not our favorite type of gameplay as a team of two, but it works well for larger groups. Side note: the soundtrack was excellent, and that's appreciated.

This was a great room! Some puzzles we have not seen before and they were executed very well. Had a blast at this place. I highly recommend.

Fun, family friendly game with some novel puzzles. Game flow overall was great. One puzzle was accidentally circumvented by luck - would be nice to see that upgraded. Atmosphere was engaging. A couple of elements were almost too engaging - turned out to be red herrings.

This is one of the best games we’ve played. Very unique design and puzzles.

Great unique theme and execution. All puzzles and game objectives were well clued. When we needed assistance it was because we had overlooked something rather than needing a leap of logic. Emily the GM was fantastic. As part of our 2-week escape room road trip, this and the other Fox-N-Otter rooms were a definite highlight.
