La Coleccionista [The Collector]

The Collector is the hidden gem of Madrid’s escape room scene and honestly the biggest surprise of our trip! Everything came together perfectly: the innovative story, unique and well-designed puzzles, impressive set design, and the amazing work of the actors created an incredibly immersive experience. The atmosphere was gorgeous; I could honestly come back just to enjoy the scenery again. The scares and separation mechanisms were very well done and added a lot to the experience without taking away from the story. Huge thanks to the whole team! The game master and staff were 10/10 and made the entire experience even better. Highly recommended! 😁

Nice set, fine puzzles, but somehow it didn't land for me and I'm not quite sure why. Admittedly, I'm not a horror fan, but I thought this game felt more like a haunted house than a horror game. Lighting was generally pretty good (for a horror game, anyway) which I appreciated. I also liked their system for choosing players to have solo moments and how they made sure everyone got a chance. Puzzles were fine, though I don't love the style of "We're going to give you a puzzle but not all the pieces to solve it, and someone has to go do a solo moment to get the last piece. And we're going to let you stare at it for a while without telling you that you don't actually have everything you need" There's a lot of potential to the story that I didn't think was fully realized, and would have kicked the game up a level if they had explored it more.

Great experience with good variety of scenes and puzzles - should be ranked much higher on terpeca

Kalon outdid themselves with bringing their story (dream?) to life, at the end we felt like we lived through and experienced what was intended - were we sure if what had happened was real or imagined. Either way, there were moments of suspense, terror, awe, truly impressive moments and exceptional work from the actors in this game to terrify and mesmerize us. Some puzzles were quite interesting in mechanics and solution, and we were both subjected to our phobias but survived. What an adventure this game was, a masterclass in adapting a mood, an emotion into an escape room. Puzzles 🧩: 9/10 Set/Wow Factor ✨: 9/10 Story/Immersion 🔮: 10/10 Fun factor 🤘: 9.5/10

Amazing mix of puzzles and a story that will make you rethink every step you took through the collection once it comes to an end. Highly recommend (especially for horror fans)

The Collector is absolutely fantastic and severely underrated on TERPECA. It’s got great puzzles, unique scares, brutal tests of courage and cinematics beyond my wildest imagination. Diegetic puzzles that make sense in context. Each new scene ramps up to a perfectly executed finale. Well done, multilayered and contextual. Creative ways of summoning us individually, a set both foreboding and well traversed. High level of detail and just plain old beautiful. And those cinematic are *chefs kiss*. Wow! I’ve played north of 400 rooms and there are thing in here I’ve never seen before or since. An absolute beauty of a game. For me, among the running for best horror room in Spain. Very, very well done. I cannot wait to return.
