Some houses are abandoned for a reason. This one was left to rot after the children inside vanished without a trace. Step inside if you dare. The walls whisper. Objects may not be what they seem. Black roses decay in the shadows. Crows watch your every move. Every step draws you deeper into the game and closer to the dollhouse. It chooses who escapes and who disappears next. But only one combination will set you free. Will fate allow you to escape?

A great room from Escape Reality!!! The Dollhouse was definitely a bit of a random room but the atmosphere and clues were pretty good. Nothing too special or even ‘horror’ about this room but it was still very fun to play. Don’t expect a lot of jump-scares. The rooms sound design was very good and so was the technology used. Overall, this room was immersive, I definitely would recommend it but it wasn’t anything special.

Story

Honestly, there wasn’t really a story. It was sort of just based in a doll house and you have to try and escape it.

You don’t have to run or anything but at least one team member needs to squeeze their head in a slightly tight space.

Bit of a random room, some of the puzzles got on my nerve, including counting certain items, and then finding out you’re only meant to count some of them. Also, hidden parts of the game that you are given no indication to look for. I do think there is a disadvantage to being short in this game, as some of the visual elements (optical illusion) couldn’t be seen from my height (I’m average female height 5’4) . Once again some AI imagery used, including ones that correspond with riddles, unfortunately the riddles don’t actually line up with the images so it was a bit of trial by elimination. The mechanics all work properly which is always impressive, but the stories just feel a bit lacking. Spoiler from here: Final room ends with a code you have to put into a bunch of lockboxes until you find the right one, massive time eater

We visited The Dollhouse whilst on holidays in Melbourne. Loved this room. With flickering lights and the darkness closing in on you, loved the jump scares. Work your way from room to room with cryptic puzzles which will keep you guessing. Hidden clues and objects which can only be found from certain angles. The room we loved the most was room 2 as it contained some awesome puzzles and combinations to gain access to the dolls house. Very easy to overthink some things, but all in all a great experience. The owner was extremely easy to get along with and was after any feedback they could get for improvements. Highly recommend this room.
