You have 60 minutes until kickoff to recover the scarf and help lead Sporting KC to victory! Matchday Mayhem is the nation’s first escape room created in collaboration with a professional sports club, featuring authentic team gear and inspired by the real-life behind-the-scenes matchday experience. We enjoyed the theme of the room. It’s the first escape room we have done based on a sports theme. It was slow to start but then it picked up pretty well. Very nice GMs here.

A TV screen wasn’t supposed to come on after we did something but it didn’t. They were very helpful with the issue.

Disclaimer - I am not a soccer fan. I went with a group and spent more of the time not understanding the clues. However, the theme was fun and carried throughout the room. This is a fun one to do with kids or your soccer enthusiasts.

My favorite room at Breakout. The theme really ties the room together, with good character for standard puzzles. Tons of puzzles and mechanical interactivity.

This room was so cute and creative. It’s a breath of fresh air to do a room with such an original premise. I’m a little stingy about upkeep. Other than a few worn out elements, this place is great.

Gameplay

Flowed well, nothing too complex, but still challenging. A couple puzzles aren’t as obvious as I think they should be, but nothing too frustrating.

I loved the locker room set up. So clever.

Very well done. They remodeled a previous game (Truman Room) and the space couldn’t have been more different. Fun combination of electronic and physical locks/puzzles.

Gameplay

I love the collab with Sporting KC on this room. Incredible theming.

Atmosphere

For a moment I thought I should put on my cleats and head out to the pitch. Such a good job making it feel like a locker room (minus the bad smells, lol).

My all-time favorite room. We had a great time playing this room while visiting KC. The puzzles are novel, the theme was tight, and there are elements of this room I haven’t seen anywhere else. Can’t wait to play more rooms at Breakout KC!

Fun room with local flare for people who live in KC. Good variety of puzzles people could be working on so no one standing around.
