Legend of the Yeti

The snow machine at the beginning was cool and set the theme well. We found snowballs around the room to throw at something up high to get the first number Code. That was fun but kind of annoying. There was a key frozen in a block of ice, which was really fun. I haven’t seen that before and on theme. The book bag coming down on the pulley was fine. You could’ve reached the book bag without doing that though. Figuring out the word clue from the signs around the room was fine. Then we went in the cabin. The metal detector to find the three numbers was basic but fun Matt said. We got four boxes that had water, safety pins, bandages, pills in them, but we couldn’t see what was in them. We had to shake them to figure out what was in each. I liked that. We had to combine injured person on the wall to get a number clue. There was injured animal and missing person. Getting the carabiner with the three colored shoelaces was fun but also easy. We missed that the Shoes had the shoelaces and they spelled out letters. Should have gotten that. Figuring out where to put the wooden yeti symbols was not hard, but took us longer than we wanted it to. It could’ve been a better designed puzzle. I like that the yeti came and sold the egg before we went into the last room. Then we went down the slide into the last room. The bear trap clause had letters on them, but that could’ve been better. We got the big round wooden piece out of the puzzle where you had to stick in the piece into the hole and move it through the whole thing. That was kind of fun but standard. The flashlight puzzle was the worst. It should be made into a black light puzzle and then you can only see the numbers when you use a black light. I did figure out that was what the flashlights were for. There was an actual puzzle. It was good Matt did that. I liked putting the crystals into the thing to figure out which slot they went into. I did it on accident, but I put the bowl out for the yeti and then the yeti came and grabbed it and gave us the next clue. That was kind of fun then we figured out what else we had to give him and then he gave us the egg and that was it.

Really liked this room! It replaced gold rush which was one of my favorites and it was as good as the previous room. We did have another group with us which we normally don’t care for but they turned out to be enthusiasts and seasoned as well so it worked out. Highly recommended

There are 3 rooms, and each one feels a bit small, but the puzzles are fun.

We were concerned that this would just be a reskin of the previous game however we were pleasantly surprised! Such a fun game with a lot of great puzzles.

This room was an impressive reimagining of the Gold Rush room. I was a bit skeptical, as I was worried that the room would be the same as the gold rush room that we played previously with a coat of paint, but it was completely different and they did not recycle puzzles. The experience was well done, and the puzzles were fun and not terribly hard. We escaped using just one clue. Fair warning about this venue… these are not private rooms. Our family of 5 was joined by 2 strangers, which I think is pretty common occurrence on the weekends. That’s really my only criticism is that I wish they had a minimum participant quota to close a room. I’d like to do the playground room but I don’t see that ever happening with their 12 person availability unless we want to join a bunch of people that we don’t know. Staff is friendly and rooms are high quality. Production quality is exceptional.

An excellent re-imagining of the old Yukon Gold room. Puzzles were challenging, set design update was well done. No puzzle overlaps so if you’ve done Yukon you’ve not encountered these same puzzles
