This was a wild room with lots of interesting and unique puzzles. Highly recommend, but definitely use clues for the tricky parts.

Something’s wrong with Mawmaw! The last batch of her yummy chocolate oatmeal cookies were super hard…like a bag of rocks. A casserole she brought over could only be identified as gross mush. And the birthday cake she made for Mom tasted like yucky burnt pickles and farts. But Mom told you to mind your manners and made you eat it anyway—ew! And that’s not all. MawMaw stopped her weekly phone calls. And when she did call again, she said weird stuff, like she was a character on a TV show. And worst of all? She totally forgot your birthday! Yeah, not even a card! Enough is enough. So, you hatch a plan with some of the other grandkids to figure out what’s going on. Here it is: ride bikes to MawMaw’s neighborhood after the streetlights come on, ditch the bikes in the park, and then sneak into her house through the backyard. What will you find over there? She doesn’t seem to be hurt…just acting…weird…so what is MawMaw’s secret?? One thing’s for sure: you came to chew gum and solve this mystery, and you’re all out of bubblegum.

Mawmaw's Secret was the perfect combination of experience and escape room! We critiqued Jurassic World and Monsters from the Abyss for the experience overshadowing the game play, but Mawmaw's Secret gets it just right. The experience is outstanding. The audio interaction with the game is perfect. And, the puzzles and set are incredible. We had so much fun playing this room. It is sure to win awards not just for its design but also for outstanding execution in game play.
Outstanding flow. We weren't clear if the audio assistance we received was part of the normal game play or tailored to us, but it was perfect, and kept things moving along. Not only does the story take an unexpected twist but it was just so well designed and put together that we had a lot of fun being in the game. This game has to be award winning in its innovation and execution. So much fun!
Outstanding set design inside and outside Mawmaw's house. The props made the experience so realistic, but they played perfectly into the puzzles. Everything had a grandma's house feeling, but it was all really well integrated into the game.
The staff, as always, was very welcoming. However, this was our second game of the day downtown and we'd already started late on our first game (Lost Pyramid) and were even later getting started on this second game. It seemed like they were behind from when the doors opened -- maybe a Sunday thing. There was a group in the room ahead of us and they used most/all(?) of their time and with things behind, the room seemed to take A LOT of time to reset (not surprising for how great it is!). We started late but it was no big deal. The audio in the room was very helpful and our GM did a great job of filling in when she saw us getting behind. We finished with just under a minute so her help was perfectly timed.

The design and execution has to be award-winning. To say anything more would give some spoilers away, but this was a unique experience for us. I'd play it again just to see what I missed the first time around, it was that unique.
The story led us step-by-step to Mawmaw's Secret: you can't get much better at designing a room than that. We had no idea where we were going when we got started. The storyline was perfectly crafted to get us to her secret. Very well done!
Medium
Most of the puzzles were very straightforward, but there were a couple of innovative ones that pushed us beyond anything we've seen. Some very unique and fun to discover puzzles. There is A LOT to do in this room, but it flows well.
High tech
Very high tech! Very well integrated tech. We were laughing, we were aghast, we were stunned, we were scratching our heads. Excellent design!

We played with our normal three and the game seemed relatively linear. However, a little extra brain power would have saved us some time. A lot of the puzzles only required one or two people, but with so much in the room one or two extra folks would have helped. There isn't room for many more than 6, which would be crowded.

The space is a little tight and might limit mobility inside and outside the house. Outside is pretty dark and the audio assist was a challenge to understand at times.

Easy
We parked a block away downtown on a Sunday afternoon without any difficulty. It does fill up at other times, though, from experience.

What an incredible room! We loved everything about this - from the clever hint system to the old timey furniture to the reveal in the third act. This room was right up there with the best! Always great theming and everything worked as designed. Room story was fun. We typically prefer different puzzle types, so it wasn't our favorite room; however, it was another great experience.
