Everyone fears the Crowell family. Since that unfortunate incident, they haven't been the same. They say it all began that night, when the well-known Dr. Crowell, head of the family, brought a piece of the Gibeon meteorite to his mansion to examine it. Since then, they haven't been seen in the city again. Curious onlookers who have dared to approach Crowell Mansion claim to have seen them and insist they no longer look human. Anyone who goes to Silver City to study the Crowell case is never the same again. Drawn by curiosity, you have traveled to the city to try to uncover the mystery surrounding this strange family. You will take advantage of the darkness of night to try to infiltrate the mansion undetected. As soon as you arrive in the city, you realize that nothing there is normal… Will you be able to find the Crowell mansion and unravel the mystery of that strange family before dawn?

I loved Night of the Meteor - of the 37 games we played on our Spain trip, it landed at #2 for me (and was easily the best game we played in the Valencia area). To be fair, some of that was a personal fondness for classic point-and-click adventure games and not having seen the theme done before, and some of that was other games having issues with our particular playthroughs - YMMV. However, I think that even without those factors, Night of the Meteor would still have been one of the top games of the trip. It wasn't a perfect game - there were some notable flaws - but I thought it was a lot of fun. Highlights were a unique zany aesthetic, actor interactions, and some puzzles we hadn't seen before. Prop interactions were pretty satisfying. Negatives: Some late game areas didn't live up to the (high) bar set by earlier areas. The AI-generated videos are jarringly janky (AI usage in recent Spanish games is a separate issue, but I thought these were notably bad). Neutral: There's a bonus system that's explained very early on, but the game has some points of no return which aren't clear until after you do them. If you want to be a completionist, there's an unfun tension between trying to figure out if you need to do something before it's too late (but alternately might not be finishable yet, there's no way to tell) vs. just enjoying the game and maybe missing out on stuff. We leaned towards enjoying the game and missed out on some of the bonuses.

A cute, fun, and crazy adventure. I loved the interactions with the actor, and there were lots and lots of fun puzzles. There are also several optional side quests along the way, and I of course had to complete each of them. Note: We were only the second test group in English, but you couldn’t tell. It went so smoothly. The owners were so friendly as well.

I had an amazing time at this escape room! Every detail — from the decor and props to the immersive storytelling and interior design — was crafted with so much creativity and care. The puzzles offered great variety with different difficulty levels, making it fun and engaging for everyone, while teamwork really made the experience even better. The live acting added just the right amount of atmosphere. A fantastic adventure for friends and families alike — absolutely recommended.
