Now You See Me

As usual, the quality at Escapeology is incredible. Wasn’t sure what to expect from this game as the picture from the advertisement for the game looks really corporate and dull, but without giving any spoilers, the game is a magical delight and progressively gets harder as you advance through the game. It’s not easy to make connections to solve some of the puzzles, but that’s what makes the games at Escapology special is finding the connections when there doesn’t seem like any. hopefully I will get better at doing their rooms. I do recommend this one. It’s fun.

We loved the theming and overall the props and some of the stuff in there was super unique and unexpected - however it really didn’t flow well and some of the mechanisms didn’t end up working. There was also a lock that wasn’t reset.

We love Escapology having done all their Orlando rooms and now visiting NY. Now you see Me was a great nod to the movies with a lot of “Magic” puzzles. Attention to detail is well done, theming is spot on. Game master were super friendly. Highly recommend any Location whether in your city or while traveling.

This room is actually quite interesting. As a person who has loved magic since a very young age, I adored that this room references famous magic tricks from throughout the history of magic. There’s a puzzle in this room that is QUITE a stumper, but you have unlimited clues, so it’s easy to get through it.

Probably one of my least favorite Escapology rooms. First off, they were 20 mins late getting our room together. They had more staff than I have ever seem at one escape room location but they still were struggling. We had 4 of us and we all agreed that we just didn't care for several of the puzzles. Several of the puzzles just didn't click with any of us and without GMs hints we wouldn't have figured them out. After the GM hints we were scratching our heads saying we would have never thought of that. I dont mind GM hints at all but enjoy it much more when I have a "duh" moment. We got out with lots of time to spare but felt weirdly unsatisfied.
