Shades of Grey

I 100% recommend this room to all who might be interested in it!! Awesome puzzles and an awesome story. It’s fun, well-managed and reasonably priced (especially on weekdays!). Our GM was enthusiastic and lively and really made the experience work for us. We did it with two people and despite being super out of practice it wasn’t frustrating at all and we got pretty far in! We had some tech issues but it wasn’t the fault of the room and they were solved as quick as possible. The story was super well-written, memorable and funny, and the puzzles were complex and satisfying to figure out. We’re going to be following the creators for all future experiences for sure!

Awesome game experience for our group of 3. Wonderful and detailed narrative. Unique puzzles and gameplay. Mostly linear, but also some opportunities for parallel puzzle solving. Highly recommended.

The tech and storytelling in this game were great, a lot of fun puzzles and a ton to solve. There are a quite a few puzzles to solve, you'll spend the hour solving rather than searching for clues.

My first game after using Morty (which is how I found out about it) a truly fantastic room! Great theming, awesome puzzles and a very cool system to work you through the game. 10/10

This is everything an escape room should aspire to be: split beautifully between being narrative-driven and system-driven with a novel interface, a fantastic set, numerous puzzles of different types, everything comes together. Staff was fantastic, I can not wait until they expand in this space.

Keep experimenting Lockwood and I’ll keep following! This held up to the high standards of their previous pop ups. This was a smartly constructed experience that forced you to follow the narrative but in a more manageable and interesting way than most “narrative” rooms. If you’ve played Obra-Dinn/Roottrees/Case of the Golden Idol, the primary mechanic of the room will be familiar. You must input discoveries from your investigation and the system will verify your inputs in sets and allow you to proceed. I really enjoyed this fresh take to an escape room that requires you to follow the narrative throughout. The writing is funny, the mystery is manageable for 1 hour experience, the room is gorgeous and the puzzles were fun to solve/all tied to the mystery. This room shows that you don’t need the most advanced tech to create an engaging experience. No notes, go play the room, you’ll have a lot of fun.

This is an absolutely fantastic room. One of our favourites. It involves story telling in effective ways and has clues and puzzles that require logic as well. It’s hard to be unique in the escape world but Lockwood absolutely was able to pull this off. I strongly recommend this one.

Playing this room was so refreshing! The space is on the smaller side, but it packs quite the punch in terms of puzzle content. The puzzles were extremely creative and such a joy to solve! Loved the aesthetic. Loved the small details. Loved the storyline. This room proves that you don’t need a large space and a massive budget to create experiences that are oodles and oodles of fun! It’s so nice to see escape room creators doing unique and interesting things, and the folks at Lockwood definitely ate with this one!
