You spent all night at The Dusty Raccoon trying to win big, even though everyone in town told you the same thing: don’t sit at Wild Willie’s table. Willie runs the place with that easy grin that never reaches his eyes, and somehow the cards always seem to fall his way. A few hands in, the room got quiet. The deal got a little too smooth. You realized too late you weren’t playing poker—you were playing Willie. One crooked hand later, he had more than your money: he’d won your family heirloom, the one thing you swore you’d never gamble, and he locked it away behind the bar like a trophy. You tried to go to the law… and that’s when you learned the truth. Around here, the sheriff doesn’t protect honest folks—he protects Willie’s business. Complaining just makes you the next “example.” So tonight, you and your gang of ruffians are doing this the only way it can be done. The saloon’s closed, the town’s asleep, and you’re breaking in to steal back what’s yours and grab the proof Willie can’t talk his way out of. Crack the safe, take the heirloom, and leave with enough dirt to bring Wild Willie down for good.

The story is pretty average. You lost to a cheat in a game of cards and you are breaking in to steal your money back. Theming was good overall. This room I believe replaced their laboratory room, which is a welcome change since that one wasn’t one of our favorites. This room is definitely an upgrade over the laboratory. Not a spoiler because they are clearly visible as you enter the room, but the checkerboard puzzle was frustrating. It was the only clue that we used in order to solve, and we definitely ate up a lot of time. There was also the record player that took some time just due to the fact that you can’t really control how long it takes to solve… and I’ll leave it at that. The room is pretty linear overall, you need to solve a puzzle to get the pieces in order to solve the next puzzle. A good combination of physical puzzles and technology. Only one or two padlock type locks in the room. There’s a puzzle which takes coordination between 2 people that doesn’t really line up properly, and I had to stand up on a stool to fix it. I know, I violated the rules! Outside of the checkers puzzle everything else was intuitive and pretty easy but it was still fun. We could have gotten out in about 30 minutes but we were stubborn about asking for a clue. At the end we were kind like “is that it? Did we win?”. I mean I know that we completed our goal, but there was very little fanfare and the effect was pretty lackluster. We didn’t know we were truly done until our GM knocked on the door.

Was anything broken?

No

No necessary broken, but the train puzzle didn’t line up well and so it came off the track. Also the dart board is pretty hard since we hit it several times and it didn’t stick
