30 escape rooms
This is a solid room. There is a wide variety of puzzles so there’s something for everyone. It is primarily lock and key but it’s usually quite clear which answers go with which locks. The room is well decorated and fits the theme well. Our GM, Gracie, was a sweetie pie. She was very welcoming and gave us the type of clues we needed when we needed them. St. Louis needs more good escape rooms. This location will be adding more rooms soon and we’re excited to check them out.
Gameplay
There was a very wide variety of puzzles here; definitely something for everyone. I think all the puzzles had solutions that made sense; no gigantic mental leaps needed. There were more lock & keys than I’d expected, though for the most part, it was usually easy to tell which answers went to which locks. This room IS occasionally guilty of one of the Cardinal escape room sins: puzzles that when you solve them, it isn’t obvious that you were correct or what happened when you solved it. There was also a puzzle that was really cool… and we knew exactly what needed to happen… but our particular group just didn’t have the faculties needed to do it. We wasted five minutes for it and then just asked for the answer. So it wasn’t a zero-frustration room, but there are definitely fun puzzles and the good far out-weighed the sub-optimal. For the St. Louis area especially, this is still a high tier puzzling experience.
Atmosphere
Very solid. Nothing absolutely atmospherically mind blowing but very well decorated and immersive. Nice props. The very end was fun.
Customer service
Gracie was incredibly sweet and welcoming. She definitely wanted us to have a good experience. I really liked that she asked us exactly how we like to get clues and she delivered accordingly. When we just wanted a nudge she gave a nudge. When we were pretty much over a puzzle she helped more. She was also paying close attention and was able to stop us when we had the right answer but were about to abandon it because we didn’t think it worked (we just didn’t have the lock quite right). If all the GMs here are like Gracie, this location will be solid.

Medium
We barely finished and ended up needing some clues but I wouldn’t say it was because the puzzles were overly hard; we’re just not always observant.

Easy to find location
No
It’s located in a strip mall but in the BACK of the building. They do tell you this in the emails they send leading up to your appointment but you could miss that if you just skim. So don’t do what we did and park, walk all the way to their store front, and then wander around the strip mall for a bit looking for a breezeway to the back. Just drive to the back of the building in the first place.
Parking
Easy
The strip mall lot is crowded, but parking in the back of the building is fine.
