An enjoyable room. No padlocks, no digit wheel locks, no word locks. Everything opens as you perform appropriate puzzle actions throughout the room. Not especially high-tech, but for a pirate theme, much less mechanical than one might have expected. The puzzles were in-world and involved a lot of searching and making connections with elements of the room. Linear from start to finish apart from the searching. We had a good time. Merci beaucoup to our French gamemaster who ran us in English and did a wonderful job.

Good mixture of Pirate and Chinese decor, as befits the theme. (Nothing seemed like a cultural caricature: the Chinese elements appeared to be authentic, although I am no expert.)
Customer service
The game master was very friendly and spoke excellent English. (We requested the game in English when we made the reservation, although I suspect they could have adapted on the fly. All the written materials in the room were in both French and English.)

A fair amount of searching and a couple of puzzles that could be clued more clearly but overall the room proceeds smoothly. It is linear apart from the searching component.

We played with 3 and this felt like the right number. 1 or 2 would also be fine. 4 and it might get a little crowded although the space isn’t extremely tight. More than 4 and it would get too crowded.

Nothing inappropriate for children (magic, curses, pirates) but a lot of manipulation of objects and some breakable decor suggest it wouldn’t be best for smaller children.

The gamemaster gives a live intro (no video, which I kind of appreciated). She did an excellent impression of a pirate and a pirate’s parrot.

Some of the search areas are low to the ground. No stairs, no ladders.
Accessibility
The gameplay area is mostly accessible. Getting down there might be difficult with a wheelchair. I use a cane and had no difficulty.
