I thought the room overall was fine, though definitely not my favorite and nowhere near the standards of what weโre used to playing. But what really ruined the experience was the rude staff. Iโve never been scoffed and laughed at when asking for a clue before, and we only used one which told us we hadnโt scavenged for the puzzle we needed to solve. I generally donโt like policies of penalty for asking for clues either, which this place employs.
Gameplay
Lots of things to do in the room, but you find pieces for a puzzle at the very start thatโs one of the last things you use which wastes a lot of your time. Not all puzzles were logical to us, we even solved a physical puzzle that we could tell was related to something else we were looking at but we never figured out what it was. If youโre not good at scavenging then youโll struggle more.
Atmosphere
A lot of the props were very degraded and we honestly couldnโt tell if it was supposed to be part of the room design or if people had just really been rough on the room.
Customer service
The staff was really rude. Very short when we first arrived, but we thought maybe she was busy. In the room we were laughed at when we asked for a clue because we had multiple codes but nothing to do with them. And at the end we wanted to ask about a puzzle we had to just try combos when we couldnโt figure out where else to get info from, and she completely ignored us so we just left without asking.
Was anything broken?
A maze puzzle I could just pull the peg out instead of solving, though I put it back in and solved the maze more for the fun of it. Several edges of a physical puzzle were broken making it really difficult to align.
