Very strong set and many layered puzzles made this a fun, but flawed, game. There were many spots were I felt like additional signposting would’ve been helpful, and a few issues with flow. Strengths- + The set evolved in exciting ways and was able to make a small physical footprint feel much bigger than it actually was. + The set looked extremely refined, one of the best at this location. +1 puzzle that required close observation, matching, and communication felt particularly satisfying. +I saw elements for the other side of gameplay, but they never felt like red herrings or obstructive to our gameplay. + 1 fun physical interaction made us feel like mischievous outlaws. Areas to improve/ Personal preferences -1 moment felt like it could’ve easily been moved to later in the game to improve game flow and reduce unnecessary confusion. This moment also had a logical inconsistency that further confused us. -Common escape room wisdom is once you use something, you’re done with it. It’s okay to break that rule, but players should know that when going in, or through additional signposting. -The ending didn’t make enough narrative sense, and we were left wondering what to do. It makes sense in retrospect, but there wasn’t enough in the room to clue you to do said thing. The ending also lacked the visual effects one might be used to from this company. - 1 input mechanism did not feel satisfying to use, we felt like we were gonna break it, even if we weren’t.
