The Haunted Hotel [prev. Escape Artist: The Final Seance]

We had a good time in this one. It wasn’t too difficult so I wouldn’t recommend for huge groups. It is very Gen 1 with a lot of locks but it made sense to do that because of the atmosphere and time period.

We did much better in this room than the other one (President poker). While some of the effect where not fully working we had a good experience! I think they puzzle here we were able to manage them and the room flow felt better. It’s a nice date night! But they need more people to work here and not 1 person!

This was an enjoyable room to play. The puzzles corresponded with the theme of the Escape Room, and there is a wonderful storyline throughout. The game master, Joseph, was absolutely outstanding and made our experience even more fun.

Had such an amazing time! The team was so accommodating when we were a few mins late due to a mix up over where we booked! The game master was extremely welcoming and helpful and I’ll def be back to this location!

The customer service was very bad. We were essentially ignored while waiting for 20 minutes past our scheduled time and when a group member went to knock on the office door to ask what was going on for the SECOND time, they said someone would start us shortly and the door was closed in his face. One of the puzzles didn’t trigger for us and we tried to ask for a hint three times but all we saw was a blank screen so someone had to leave the room and ask for help. Turns out we had done everything correctly and had everything done for a long time, but our game master didn’t see one of the items (even though it was already in the correct place when we first walked into that part because it was never properly reset) so they didn’t trigger it. We also later discovered one of the locks was only changed by two letters. The ending was cool, different than usual. Definitely not coming back.

Flashing light warning. (One that gets triggered with movement frequently and others that can be avoided.) There are a lot of Houdini games around, but this one really did it well. There was a unique beginning to the game that ended with what you would expect from a Houdini room. The puzzles were also the perfect mix between mechanical and technical, with some nice riddles thrown in. Overall, I liked this more than the other Houdini rooms I’ve done.

I loved this room! We took my parents here for their first escape room and we all had a blast. I didn't find it super challenging but it was very fun and interactive. I really have no notes, I just had a good time. The atmosphere and decor were great, the puzzles were fun, and non linear which I love.

This room had great flow and some fun puzzles. I had seen most of them before but there were definitely some cool effects in this room. Very much worth it.
