Famed illusionist Harry Houdini passed away on October 31, 1926. Prior to his death, he and his beloved wife, Bess, had discussed her trying to contact him in the afterlife. If she was successful, Harry was to reveal the phrase “Rosabel, Believe”, a reference to their favorite musical tune. On the anniversary of his death every year since his passing, Bess has performed a seance at The Knickerbocker hotel in hopes of contacting Houdini. Unfortunately, each year has been met with the same result – failure to contact Harry. It is now October 31, 1936. Ten years since the death of Harry Houdini. Bess has decided that this will be her final attempt before she will give up on trying to contact Houdini forever. You have come to her aid in an attempt to help her succeed before she puts out the lights on Harry’s shrine for good. Will you succeed in helping Bess to contact her beloved husband one last time or will Houdini rest in silence forever? You have 75 minutes to complete the seance and contact Harry Houdini.

Flashing light warning. (One that gets triggered with movement frequently and others that can be avoided.) There are a lot of Houdini games around, but this one really did it well. There was a unique beginning to the game that ended with what you would expect from a Houdini room. The puzzles were also the perfect mix between mechanical and technical, with some nice riddles thrown in. Overall, I liked this more than the other Houdini rooms I’ve done.

I loved this room! We took my parents here for their first escape room and we all had a blast. I didn't find it super challenging but it was very fun and interactive. I really have no notes, I just had a good time. The atmosphere and decor were great, the puzzles were fun, and non linear which I love.

This room had great flow and some fun puzzles. I had seen most of them before but there were definitely some cool effects in this room. Very much worth it.
Puzzles flowed very linear. Only complaint is that sometimes things took a little long to trigger after we solved a puzzle.
Well themed room with some fun effects.
Dev was friendly but I wish he had explained the locks in the room prior. I have done over 30 rooms but encountered a few locks I have never seen before here. Usually a GM will go over the types of locks you will encounter.

Still very fun.
Fun story but not super original. I have played another Houdini themed room before.

It's the parking garage around the corner. Be prepared to pay for parking. Anywhere from $4 up to $15. It cost more of events are occurring downtown.

This room combined all of the themes I love best: magic, Halloween, and the supernatural so I loved it. Some good effects. Lots of locks but the puzzles to get the codes for them were fun and thought provoking. Really enjoyed this room.
Fun and flowed well. Puzzles were well-themed.
Set design, props and effects were completely immersive and well done.
Staff was great.

The Houdini theme was relatively new to our team. We had only played one other game with a Houdini theme and it was terrible. This one was everything we were expecting.
Inspired by the true events surrounding Houdini's death and his wife's continued efforts to contact him in the afterlife through an annual seance.

I really enjoyed the theming, and a lot of the clues were fun and things that you don’t see in a lot of escape rooms! I wish it would have been bigger, and perhaps slightly less linear. Using the seance table and the dumbwaiter were two of my favorite parts!
It was strictly linear with very few things able to be completed out of order.
The atmosphere was amazing! Favorite part was definitely the help buttons being a concierge bell! The ending was also phenomenal!
Staff was great!

I love how the game ended, in lieu of the typical, “you escaped!”

This is my favorite game at this venue! The puzzle flow was amazing and different effects/reveals were so cool. Shoutout to our GM Tommy for helping us out and having fun voices throughout the 3 games.

A very good experience from the team at Great Escape Room. Flow if the game went well with some puzzles that had some challenge but after taking attention to detail were solved quickly. Compared to its counterpart in St. Pete this is definitely the preferred location between to the two. Great room for people who want a small challenge but with decent enough flow :)

Solid theme and fun storyline. Good puzzles. We needed 3 hints, and messed up 2 clues and they guided us in the right direction.
