The game felt tedious and chore-like rather than intellectually challenging. Most puzzles were one-dimensional, relying on obscure, dark hiding spots and confusing input locations instead of clever design. Because the difficulty came down to hunting in weird crevices rather than solving smart puzzles, the game flow suffered and the GM had to constantly intervene with hints.

Hi, thank you for the feedback. We're still new to the world of Horror Escape Rooms, despite having a long history with the more family friendly kind, and things like balancing the lighting to create an ominous atmosphere without making puzzles overly difficult is a tricky balance to hit. Judging from the date listed for the experience, you visited on launch day itself, so I'm confident that there have already been some changes to improve things in the last week, and we hope to only improve further as the limited run continues. One change I know has been introduced is cutting the majority of the 'scavenging' puzzles, so there are fewer objects to find, you're spot on that these were the least fun parts of the game. We're always happy to hear more ways we can improve the games, or make it up to customers who feel let down by their time in the game. You can reach us at [email protected] if you'd like to give any further feedback, or would be interested in trying any of the other games instead.
