Special Ops: Mysterious Market

Having done a number of The Escape Game rooms, this one was definitely on the weaker side. Unsure if it was this venue specifically or the room as a whole, but a number of the mechanical systems (doors opening, systems unlocking) were obnoxiously loud or not functioning, causing confusion and loss of immersion. The storyline itself did not help the ambiguity, as the story characters would mention completing a task or unlocking something with little indication of what they were referring to. It was also difficult to hear the characters at times with the loud noises of the mechanical parts. The room did have some interesting and unique puzzles, though there were few total puzzles in the room. I could definitely see a larger group get bored with the lack of engagement and small size of the room. The storyline itself was not interesting enough to compensate for the lack of puzzles, so I would recommend skipping this room for one of the better The Escape Game rooms.

This is top ten escape rooms I've done . The electronics and theme were superior. It felt like you were part of the mission. The ambience really created a crazy good time. The puzzles were thought out and reasonable. We didn't get stuck on anything for a really long time. We left feeling like things made sense. Overall, TEG does a great job with most of their rooms. But I do wish they did private rooms. It's always annoying to play with randos.

A fun room with some great puzzles and great props! This was my final room at the Galleria and glad to see the quality held up all the way through! I can recommend every room there!

Mission Ops is a thematic sequel to another game that The Escape Game used to run called Classified. I played Classified in Austin, and was unsure if this would be different. It only looks the same, though. All the puzzles are different. Had a good time. Loved the progression of the story and the change in atmosphere.
