Mystery Room

(Reviewed September 2018 so may have had changes or improvements!) I am an escape room fanatic - I've been to 14 now and love them but this has to be the most disappointing one to date. We (well me!!) always come bouncing out the door with excitement when we escape (or a couple of time get let out!!) but I have to say this was the first time it didn't happen. We previously visited and loved the Identity Room which is why we decided to come back and try this one. We all thought there were clues which would be very hard to solve without certain skills (music and smell) I don't obviously want to talk too much about the clues but we would never have made it out without the help we received and I fed back comments about another clue in particular which was also confusing (girl also agreed with me). When the room had been set up for us, there was also a crucial number had been rubbed off and not sorted for our shot so we had to wait for our helper on that one too. As escape rooms have now become popular, more and more are popping up and getting better and better and I would say they need to up the stakes with this room!! Set up of the room was good, liked how you summon help and some quirky clues once again we enjoyed but sadly definitely not my favourite

A one room game that is great for newbies. It’s very much a first gen room with basic furniture and nothing too hidden or unexpected. I visited with a friend I’d never escaped with before who was fairly new at the time and I did enjoy this room as an introduction to working together and not panicking over time. A simple room and one to do if you’ve done most in Glasgow but there are others I’d do if you’re only there for a short visit.
