Historically immersive Egyptian-based setting Exceptional reveal It’s 1922, and you are members of Howard Carter’s archaeology team. Mr. Carter has discovered what he believes is the Egyptian Pharaoh King Tutankhamen’s (King Tut) tomb. Unfortunately Mr.Carter hasn’t discovered the burial chamber of King Tut, and the Egyptian authorities will arrive in 60 minutes to shut down the archaeology site for good.

We had a positive experience here in our early days with escape rooms. (2015?) It was challenging for us, at the time. Good atmosphere.

Unfortunately, we had a similar experience as others where our GM would be deemed as inattentive - an unfortunate pit fall. We think there was a large group that had just walked in - there SHOULD have been more people to help. Aside from that - the room was just meh for us. We really long for a neutral rating. We had pretty high hopes! Some decor items were fun and put us in a zone… some other areas didn’t really draw us in and felt mediocre. With an extremely typical theme/story for escape rooms, you kind of have to go for gold where you can!

This was the second room we had done here. There were a couple issues with the room but the worst part was the GM hands down. Normally we like to complete all the rooms at a location but after our experience we plan on skipping this location.
This was one of our worst experiences. Biggest complaint was the GM. At one point we had to leave the room to get the Game attention for a clue only to find him with his back turned the monitors cursing out his gf on the phone. We missed it by 30 seconds and when we asked the GM how the puzzle was solved he became rude, very condescending, and started to become confrontational. Turns out he didn’t know either.

Unfortunately I came to do this room after enjoying Al Capone’s Speakeasy a year prior. The atmosphere would have been very immersive but the walls are terribly thin and you can hear everyone in the lobby, so it pulls you out of the experience. Unfortunately my biggest complaint would be the lack of attentiveness from the game master. He asked if we thought we would need a hint because he was going to have to leave for a few minutes to check on another game, so if we think we’ll need one, go ahead and ask now. Luckily, we didn’t, but the thought that if we were stuck, we would have to wait a few minutes for him to get back was a huge disappointment for us. We had several malfunctions that also lead to this negative review. I really enjoyed the Speakeasy, but I’m not sure I would chance another game here because of our experience.

We like this room in a lot of ways. Do not love small balls in the wall to have to manage to get through. But overall a decent room.

“While we enjoyed the details and overall concept, the gameplay was rocky.“
