Sherlock

We loved the Pequeña Gran Aventura room with Enigma Rooms, so we were excited to try another. This one was really bad. Would not recommend at all. The game flow was poor and many of the materials were junky. One puzzle said we needed to take a code and round it up, but it was already a round number. They gave us a clue and the actual number was not anything that made sense. We brute forced much of the room with ease just to get through it, because the puzzles didn’t make much sense. Finally at the end, the thing you must do to get out has a rule that is not stated anywhere at all, so we stumbled upon it accidentally and “won” very anticlimactically. I would recommend the other location (Roma 2) for sure, but skip this.

I didn’t know whether to give this no rating or thumbs down, but I ended up giving it a thumbs down. The set was fine, but some locks were very worn. Most of the puzzles made sense, but sometimes random steps needed to be taken with no indication from the puzzles themselves. A lot of puzzles and props were completely random and had nothing to do with the theme. The staff was nice, but the game master was not watching us so when we had to ask for a clue he would give us help with things we had already solved and confused us more. There were some fun physical interactions and aha moments. This wasn’t a terrible room, but there were much better options in the area.
