Overall, a pretty disappointing room and I felt it was overhyped. The finale was like KONG, but less climatic and with less cool weapons. The robot actor was somewhat exciting, but too easily gamifiable. The actors we met in the various "elevator" floors actually removed some of the immersion. It was too hot with only a small fan blowing in the elevator room. It felt like we were forced to watch a cut-scene that didn't really progress the story. The ending also felt abrupt and not as a direct consequence of our actions. The beginning sequences were better with a decent variety of puzzles. The second room was smaller but also decent with the big screens and cyber-modern red light district. It felt like an RPG, but ultimately the execution of everything past the second half felt like it fell short. And re-using the buttons (dance room) for a finale part felt cheap and tacked on without a proper reason.

Well done cyberpunk aesthetic. The puzzles need to match the narrative better though: doing the hard thing should feel hard, not arbitrary. And please don't run two four-character codes at the same time with overlapping hints - it gets very confusing about which hint belongs to which code.

Cool adventure in a dystopian future. Setting and tasks and puzzles are all very well fitting within the world created in this room. There are different possible endings and some fun side quests some of which involve live acting of the game master who did an excellent and very entertaining job.

Puzzles 🧩: 8.5/10 Set/Wow Factor ✨: 9/10 Story/Immersion 🔮: 8/10 Fun factor 🤘: 9/10 Similarly impressive set compared to KONG Protocol, great puzzles but with a different, futuristic theme. We loved the steampunk set, and actor interaction. We were super impressed by the unique game design, flow, mechanics and creative ideas that were well-executed in Escape Barcelona's games. Elements of pure fun and playfulness (e.g. unnecessary to solving the room puzzles) were weaved into both games. We were also impressed with the game masters here. KONG and Cybercity 2049 were both great games and we recommend both.

This was THE escape room! The set design was amazing—truly immersive. The play area was huge, and the puzzles were fantastic. The actor’s presence was wonderful and made the whole experience even more intriguing. The story was really great. All the materials were in good condition. It’s definitely worth trying—highly recommended!!!

I wonder if I would have liked this game better if I didn’t play KONG first. It has a lot of the same DNA, and for me, if you are not going to «play it all» I wouldn’t recommend playing them both. I feel like they learned so much from this game, and made everything better in KONG. It had some bad puzzle response, and one part that was way too long for the location we were in, and also very, very warm.
I did like it a lot, but it didn’t end up being a favorite for me.

The Cyber City 2049 is a great experience for anyone who loves the cyberpunk theme! It really captures the dystopian side of the genre, with a beautiful atmosphere, a nice story, cool puzzles, and fun interactions with the actor. The puzzles fit the world really well and made the whole experience feel cohesive and enjoyable. The room can feel a bit stuffy and rough around the edges in places, but the overall atmosphere and theme more than make up for it. Definitely recommended for cyberpunk fans! 👾
