Slam! The bars slam shut on last night’s shenanigans on Front Street and the guards exchange high fives on their way out the door, headed to the beach hoping to hang ten during an hour long surf sesh. Fortunately, you heard from someone who heard from someone else that there’s a way out. You’ve got a man on the inside if you need some support, but you are racing the Hawaiian tides and those hang-loose guards! The Prison Break is a 60 minute escape room set in West Maui County Prison for all levels players. Players are separated in two adjacent cells to start.

Our family of four (parents and teenagers) enjoyed our experience. It was fun having to cooperate in a different way. The puzzles were the just right of challenging for us for fun without frustrating. There was one prop that didn’t work quite right but it was still a good experience and would recommend to others.

very fun escape room, felt very easy for my half of the room and very very linear on both sides of the cell, i do love when escape rooms separate people. pretty fun and pretty easy, as long as you are pretty observant of your surroundings and focused on communication, it was very freeing to get out of the cell and work together on the outside

A typical prison escape room with not much to the story but try to get out. The split start is the highlight of the room, so communication between both groups is absolutely essential if you want to make progress. The puzzles were well designed, with a nice mix of straightforward solves and a few that made us stop and think without becoming overly frustrating. Overall, I'd say it's a good room for a wide range of experience levels. The price is definitely on the higher side, but that's pretty much expected for activities in Maui. While we enjoyed the experience, there wasn't anything that really stood out as unique or memorable compared to some other escape rooms we've played. Still, if you're looking for a fun indoor activity on the island, this is probably one of the good ones out here.

This was my first ever game, and we played when I was about 6. This game was so much fun and for a 6 year old I actually did a good bit in the game!!! The staff were soooo friendly and gave me candy. I will never forget that lol. The game was so darn fun and well-made. May be a bit biased but whatever. Great game, so fun. I had such a blast 😄

We played all 6 games currently available on Maui, and this was my favorite. It has a split start and both groups really have to communicate well in order to get out of the cells. This room won’t blow your mind like some of the top rooms elsewhere, but the set was good, it flowed well and was a ton of fun. The GM was very nice and a joy to talk with and they validate your parking.

4-6. It is a split start so ideally you will want a minimum of four, but the cells are a bit small, so I wouldn’t recommend more than 6.

This was probably my favorite game across Maui, this game has probably the best set out of the 4 at Maui Escape, and some great puzzles, teamwork, and a fun split start. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not going to blow your mind like some of the best of the best games, but it was a really fun game, and had some unique elements.

With only two people playing we were down to the WIRE and rarely made any mistakes so I recommend with a larger group but it was sooo much fun! Super creative and fun to talk through cells
