A play by William Shakespeare, that, according to theater legend, has been cursed since its first performance in 1606--a play so powerful that an old superstition says its name should never be uttered in the theater and for those that do, injuries, falls, death and other mysterious happenings have been the result. In Shakespeare's day, it was believed the play was cursed by a coven of witches for his use of actual witches' spells in the play. And yet another tragedy has befallen a rehearsal of “The Scottish Play,” and The Old Vic Theater has closed with no opening date in sight. Was it the four-hundred-year-old curse or something even more sinister? You and your group of understudies must solve the mystery before another tragedy strikes. Can you unravel the clues and avoid bringing down further disaster by not uttering “the play that shall not be named"?

We really enjoyed this room! There were some really cool puzzles that felt like magic and our GM Zoe was AMAZING. One of the puzzles didn’t work right away, but Zoe was right on top of fixing it. One of the clues has a code that’s a little faded, but we were still able to solve it (with the help of a phone flashlight). The atmosphere of the room was super cool and really immersive! Overall I would recommend this room to anyone in the Ashland area!

I was pleasantly surprised with this escape room. Ended up doing this with just me and one other friend and got out with 7 minutes to spare! I really liked the Macbeth theming and story that flowed in this room. There were some very fun puzzles and a few A-Ha! Moments that got us pretty hyped up. The puzzles weren’t too challenging but super satisfying. Our GM, Carrie, was fantastic and did a great job of giving us hints that didn’t give away any of the puzzles. Overall I really enjoyed this room and think it’s a great activity to do if visiting in Ashland with a small group of 2-4 people.

Not bad, starts out in a semi-cramped area and has a couple of very unique, yet challenging puzzles. All in all, well themed, and puzzles definitely match the theme fairly well. Unfortunately it just felt like there weren't quite enough puzzles for a full 60-minute escape room. Nonetheless, this is a fun, whimsical, more family-friendly immersive escape room. Worth a try if you're in the area.
