You are a member of an international assassin syndicate. Your superior ‘James’ is one of the syndicate’s highest-ranking members and he is currently in hiding from the police. One day, you receive an unmarked letter in the mail. The letter’s message reads: “I have kidnapped your family. They are safe, but not for long. If you ever want to see them again, go to level 2 of this hotel before…” You quickly pack your bags and on the way to the hotel, you contact the most trustworthy member in the syndicate you know – ‘David’ – and beg him to help identify the kidnapper. He agrees to help you behind the scenes. Arriving at the hotel, you are ready to do anything to save your family.

This room was okay, it did have some unique puzzle moments and some harder aspects. You do unfortunately spend a lot of time watching camera footage, and even having to go back because you’re looking for specific details. We had issues with the last puzzles- and it’s a bit of a poor design that you have to wait the entire countdown time to try again). It should be obvious that once you started moving parts if you’ve got the wrong solution you’ll have to wait the whole countdown to start again.

Lots of videos to just stand and watch, lots of mechanical elements, single room escape room, underwhelming and not that much to explore, clues are not clear.

Mission is really good at making puzzles that fit within the theme of the game and The Last Order is no exception. All the puzzles utilise items which can be found within a hotel room. However this room is not the same as Mission's other rooms, primarily focusing on the story for this particular room. Putting yourself into the story will definitely improve your experience with this room. However this room does rely a fair bit on video sequences and there's no way to speed them up which does slow down the flow a little bit. Still a good room though.

8/10 Set in a hotel room, The Last Order’s linear storyline and objectives are made clear at every stage, making it immersive & enjoyable. Puzzles were well paced, interactive, purposeful, makes you think. Very glad that there were no red herrings and the ending was clever and memorable.

As secret assassins we had one last kill. Inside a hotel room with a view to thrill. Watching and listening to story was key, But was too reliant on that front for me. Good theme and ideas that they could improve With polish and maybe more places to move. The last puzzle's timing could have been broader. Solve it in time to complete The Last Order.

I did this room with a group of four. Everything was mechanical and there were no traditional locks in this room. It was narrative driven using videos and audio recordings. We thought some of videos could have been shorter and the aesthetics of the room could be improved a bit. This room would probably be good for people who like investigative work that involves reading and processing lots of information. Unfortunately I have a short attention span so tend to have a hard time processing stuff with lots of text or needing to listen to audio recordings. We also encountered some technical issues on the last puzzle which detracted from the immersiveness a bit.

Warm start executed beautifully. I loved that you played half of this game in your head. (Definitely would be less fun if you don't have a vivid imagination.)

The idea of the room is good. The story is solid and it's clear why you are doing what you are doing. It's very much hand fed though. The puzzles dont lead into each other. You finish a puzzle then an event occurs that leads to the next. This slows down the game play a bit. Unfortunately the final puzzle didn't work properly either which was disappointing. Some of the puzzles were quite challenging and the game master said there was only a 30% success rate for the room.
