Terror and death has been unleashed on the town of Fair Oaks. Seeking revenge, disbarred scientist Dr. Vermillion has released his pack of giant wolf creatures causing horror and destruction on the town. As the death toll continues to rise, you must go deep into the woods to find the hermit who locals have come to know as the Caretaker. Save the hermit Caretaker from the wolves while there is still time and help him escape the terror that lurks in the woods around him. Move quickly and quietly, the Caretaker's life depends on it

Our fifth and final room at Xcape was yet another banger. Large multi-space set, aesthetic theming, creepy atmosphere, and great sound design combined to deliver an immersive and unsettling experience. There was a good mix of traditional, hi-tech, and dexterity puzzles, one of which felt slightly out of place but was fun nonetheless. We got tripped up by one multi-phase puzzle and asked for a clue, though in hindsight we probably should have tried for longer as we ended up escaping with over 20 minutes to spare.

At one part you need to be able to reach through a window above chest height, requires dexterity and targeting. 2 colour based puzzle. 1 sound based puzzle. 1 puzzle requires arm strength for a decent length of time. Occasional flashing lights.

Amazing room! The decorations are next level! Best decorated rooms in NZ. Actually makes you feel like you are in a cabin in the forest. I’m a scaredy cat and found this room to be quite scary! Puzzles were awesome, no clues needed for this room for us!
