Kilgore Cabin

This was an okay experience, the puzzles and experience is more inspired than the a standard haunted room, but not different enough to be memorable. The experience was a bit too linear and the puzzles were a bit too straightforward. 6/10

Rating: 3.5/5 - Solid room with lots of tech, but the most skippable room here Pros: ➕Fully tech based, no padlocks ➕A couple of decent scares ➕Good lighting and sound design, the lighting made it clear what you needed to work on. ➕Set looks nice though, though it's probably the least impressive at Crypto ➕Puzzles were enjoyable, some teamwork required, everything made sense ➕Multiple rooms to discover and explore Room for improvement: ➖Some of the spaces felt too large and sparse for a cabin and lacking in details. Especially the generic grey painted floor, it doesn't feel enough like a cabin. ➖Story is generic and forgettable when compared to their other rooms, no interesting characters or animatronics. We played as a team of 2 enthusiasts and finished with around 20 min left and no hints. Possibly one spot that requires crouching/crawling. There are a couple of jump scares. We had a great adventure. Lots of different aspects to the room kept it engaging. A bit scary.

Such a fun game with great puzzle design. It’s not my favourite theme but I think there is certainly a market for this style of game. It’s a really big space, we were however a group of two so maybe that’s not as felt when you’re in a large group. It’s one of Cryptos oldest games, but I think it still holds up as a solid game with some fantastic moments and good fun puzzles.

Enjoyed it overall, but compared to the other Crypto rooms this one felt a lot "emptier"? I think this ended up making the puzzles feel a lot easier as pretty much every room would have only the puzzle you need to do now or one to do shortly. And then of course that makes the immersion rougher, especially knowing what the company is capable of (like in Sorcerer's and Shipwreck)

Easy room, not very hard, average scary room to be honest

The room was fun but not as scary as I would’ve hoped. There was one puzzle that didn’t make logical sense and had to be completed with trial and error but other then that the room was decent.

This room is well designed, but seemed a bit too easy

Room was great, could bounce from puzzle to puzzle and everything made sense. It was a lot of fun.
