You’re an apprentice for Carter the Great, the best magician this town has ever seen. Unfortunately for him, he’s been sharing the theater with his biggest rival, The Great Danton. Danton said he will be unveiling his newest trick at tomorrow's performance. If his trick truly is amazing, it’ll surely put your show out of business. You must sneak into the theater at night and figure out the source of Danton’s new power otherwise Carter will surely be finished!

All the rooms here are great but I believe this room and Pirate's were our favorites at Escape Room Herndon (ERH). I usually don't love Magician themed rooms but this room was really fun. Like almost all of ERH's puzzle, the puzzles in this room really clicked for us. Well themed and fun puzzles that fit the theme.

My favorite room in Herndon. Beautiful set and the puzzles all made sense and fit with a fun theme. I found the puzzles to be very creative and clearly well thought out. The staff are all very nice and the waiting area was well decorated and inviting. Highly recommend

Great room with lots of fun moments, especially for people who know the story that inspired it. This is one of my favorite magician-themed rooms with a really satisfying finale.
Gameplay
The puzzles were in-theme with good flow. There were no unreasonable leaps in logic, and many included surprising and magical moments.
Atmosphere
The set is exactly what it should be, with quality lighting and sound effects that enhance the atmosphere without being so dramatic as to seem cartoonish.
Customer service
We were greeted by a very enthusiastic GM who was clearly invested and passionate about her job. The GMs here are exactly what you want as both a player and an owner. There is a huge difference between having a script and talking AT someone, and talking TO someone. Escape Room Herndon's GMs talk to you.

I’m obsessed with this location and the Richmond one. The games are so well done, no “THATS A STRETCH!” Type of puzzles, at least not in the ones I’ve played. We had 4 people and that helped especially with ensuring certain things were noticed.. no spoilers! But it could be done with 2-3. Great game master and clues! Don’t recall their name, but they had short reddish hair and glasses. I really prefer typed out clues vs the annoying walkie talkie. In fact whenever k see a walkie talkie situation in a game and it makes no sense for the room to have a walkie talkie I’m instantly like -_- The two hints we did receive were only given when we were super struggling for too long and missed something we thought we already completed.

This was a super fun room! Tons of special effects and immersion. The puzzles flowed well and were satisfying to solve. We had a team of 2 and had no issues at all. Game master and owner were extremely kind and welcoming. Definitely will be back for their other rooms.

Some really amazing surprises in this room! A few GM triggers a little slow (especially at the start 😅), but some very unique puzzles and mechanics. Theme is great.
