Can you solve literature’s most famous crime? You are world-renowned Detective Hercule Poirot, aboard the famous Orient Express and have just solved the murder of Mr Ratchet, a man found stabbed to death in his cabin after being proved guilty of abducting and killing a young child - Daisy Armstrong - the daughter of a WW1 hero. However, just as you are preparing to deliver your verdict, you find out about a more deadly plan. From earlier investigations, you’re able to narrow down six suspects, but now, you must find the killer and repair the brake lines to stop the train before it speeds off the railway. Failure means certain death for all, while success means solving the most famous crime in history, and saving everyone aboard. Will you gather the evidence and catch the murderer before it’s too late?

Usually love all the escapology rooms however this one was having some technical difficulties and just some finicky tech overall. There were a lot of lamented sheets or “paper” clues, so not very high-tech. Just had a tough time with the puzzles in this overall. Hints were hard to get too since a lot of times we already solved what it was telling us. Really cool room though.

The room had interesting theming and some unique puzzles that were fun and challenging. Parts were not working well though, which really detracted from the experience. We wasted multiple minutes getting hints (that weren't very helpful) for something we had solved but just wasn't working correctly. And there were two other puzzles later that also did not work the first time we solved them.

as an expert player, i thought this was the perfect difficulty level! the decor is great too; we look forward to coming back to escapology

The room was really solid, I loved the feel of the room! One thing I want to point out, if you've done The Budapest Express at Escapology, this room it totally different. I would make this room a place to go if you are in the area. Unlike the others room, which we did alot, this one didn't need upkeeping. The staff was decent, but I'd done 4 rooms there in a span of a few days, they started to recognize me and that was pretty cool.

The set is designed beautifully. It really makes you feel like you’re on a moving train. The story is good too. Sadly, the rest of the room is just okay. Escapology seems to try to make the puzzles overly-complicated to try and make the room tougher. I understand why, but it just makes a puzzle tedious when you need to solve a ton of smaller parts just to solve one puzzle out of many. The room has a ton of puzzles, almost too many to solve in the allotted time. I knew going into this that it was their hardest room. I just wish they’d taken advantage of the great set and story to actually make a room that was enjoyable. Not my cup of tea. Maybe it’s yours?

The most difficult room escape we’ve ever done. This one is for the seasoned veteran, and even then, you’ll be using hints. Lots of locks and info to digest in 60 minutes. Save this one for the last one of the day!

Great theming. This is one of the hardest rooms I’ve ever done. My wife and I are avid escape room players - we lost this room the first time - so 5 months later we came back for a rematch - barreled through the room and STILL barely made it out in time! Not a lot of time to get all the things done! But great theming and a nice modern room.
