Deceptive Games really set the bar high with the scare factor without truly being Scary. It was more of the psychological Scare of the clown that made us work faster, harder, and stay on our toes. There is a live actor, so beware! If you’re scared of clowns, you should not play this room! Hence “Return to Coulrophobia.” The game play was very cohesive and easy to follow. We never had to guess what to do next, it was more of where to find the items to complete the puzzles and unlock the boxes. Because of the psychological scare, it made solving the puzzles more intense Puzzles were very creative, methodical, and unique as they were so well themed and blended in that we didn’t even notice that the puzzles were Puzzles! There were so many twists and turns, and we were sweating by the end of the room. Between the live actor, the psychological scare factor, and some physicality that is needed for the set design, we had a GREAT time and would absolutely recommend this escape room! So sad that “Return to Coulrophobia” is closed now, but truly such a fun and interactive experience! This will definitely be one of the best stories that I will tell to others!
Everything flowed really well! It was a cohesive storyline, the puzzles were creative, and we had a lot of fun!
I was blown away by the set design, special effects, props, and puzzles! This escape room was very immersive and the music and lighting just added to it!
Our GM was amazing! Added to the immersiveness of the storyline and fear factor of Coulrophobia!
