Just another fun escape room with a charming cat theme. The puzzles were enjoyable, and the playful atmosphere made for a lighthearted experience. It’s a great choice for cat lovers or anyone looking for a fun, casual room.

Woah. This game is really nothing you expect from the title, even with that cat-related subtitle. This is a really strange and one of a kind game. The plot is absolutely insane and the gameplay does really unique stuff. In particular, the 1st portion is really special. The introduction is really immersive, funny, and ends with a series of really great reveals I didn’t see coming. We played the Chimera Corp Saga the same day yet I swear this introduction was the most in a universe I felt the whole day. Then the 1st gameplay portion has a gimmick that I’ve never seen; or at least I’ve never seen it being played into this hard. I assumed this gimmick would last at most two puzzles but it actually remains for almost half of it and they find so many cool things to do with it. I did find the 1st interaction kind of unintuitive as a 1st puzzle and also a bit difficult (I think we just suck at the skill it required). Once this gimmick is done the game does fall off. The next few puzzles are really cool technologically and continue to use the small space very well, but they’re really repetitive. And after these few puzzles you get to my least favorite part, mostly because it’s actually what I was expecting from the title, and that’s just less interesting. I feel like I would have enjoyed the game more if it fully committed to that 1st section or even was shortened to just that section (I never thought I’ld want a game to be a 30-45 minute game, what the heck). But the lamer 2nd half should not discourage you from trying such a weird and oddly immersive early game. If you’re willing to play into this weird gimmick (still don’t want to spoil it), go for it. Escape Artist Greenville Ranking 0. Chimera Corp Saga 1. Dark Lullaby 2. Castle Fluffendor 3. Help Wanted (gap in quality) 4. Starlight Motel (big gap in quality) 5. Yuletide Magic 6. Classified (big gap in quality) 7. Dr. Fratelli’s Cabin 8. Inventor's Enigma

Gameplay

The 1st section I would give a heart rating to.

Physically active

Somewhat

With less people this kinda borders on very physically active (at least for an average escape room) in one section of the game. This rating in this section will be very ironic after you actually play the game

Accessibility

You are going to be pretty cramped and will have to move around this cramped space and sit in a chair. Make sure you’re comfortable with all this because otherwise you will not enjoy it.

Safety

Yes

Always do feel weird with laser puzzles. Just be careful.

This room was so funny. As a group of 4 cat people, we really felt connected to this theme. I love the way this room started. The space was tight, but because of how the game flow was designed, the room felt so much bigger. They found very creative ways to use the entire space.

The premise of Classified is that you are are an agent trying to stop a major catastrophe, and that’s the most normal thing about it before it goes completely off-rails in the silliest possible way. I loved the direction this room went, and it was pawsitively purrfect every step of the way! There are unique challenges and minigames throughout that somehow make the smallish room feel much bigger than it is. This room is crazy, and should just be experienced to be believed. Meow wow!

So I read the reviews on this room and I came into it with fairly low expectations as many were saying this was their least favorite or they dumbed this room down by saying it was just an immersive theatre experience. Having done this room, I came away very impressed. For one, the puzzles were plentiful, solid and even fairly complex. This is not just some “theatre room” where you just improv along with some actor (s). There’s a ton of satisfying puzzles and with the room being intentionally an oddball take on the spy genre, it was entertaining and humorous the whole time. Bottom line, don’t let the reviews scare you. Really enjoyed this room.

Such an ingenious way to make a smaller space seem much larger. I continue to marvel TO THIS DAY about how well the game progresses. It's a very fun, active room. Be warned though: if you do not care for mannequins or the like, you may get creeped out in the way one of our team were upon entering the room. Nothing scary happens and it's not being deliberately creepy, but if that's the sort of thing you've got a bit of a phobia about this is a little heads up.

Super fun and engaging experience! The theming was very fun and unique - we loved the spoofyness of the story and game flow. They also put in an element into the gameplay at the beginning that we hadn’t seen/experienced before that we loved! Highly recommend this one along with any of the other games from Escape Artist Greenville

This was a great cat themed room! There should be more of these out there! The beginning of the room started like no other escape room I have done so far! You will adore this if you like cats!!
