Palace Games has discovered another secret inner-sanctum within the walls of the Palace of Fine Arts. This mysterious attraction premiered at San Francisco's World’s Fair in 1915, but was then immediately condemned for reasons unknown. After an arduous restoration effort, Palace Games reopened this secret marvel of the 1915 fair. We've yet to uncover its odd purpose. Are you bold enough to solve the mind-bending mystery of The Attraction?

Wow! What a fun game with a really interesting and unique twist. We loved the variety of puzzles, the emphasis on teamwork, the humor, and the storyline.
So fun! Great flow, great story, unique puzzles.
Very well done! Every room was unique and interesting.

A couple of things were slightly broken but easily fixable or able to work around.

In terms of technology, this game is quite modern. My only gripe is that overtime the theme of the puzzles got samey and felt like I was playing at an arcade. But that’s a personal take, and I think anyone who plays this will enjoy it.

Rating: 5/5 Wow, what a ride! I loved this room, while it's not perfect, I understand why it's ranked highly on TERPECA since it's so unique and innovative. It's a narrative driven, non-traditional escape room, if you value puzzles over anything else, you might not enjoy this as much I did. Pros: -Had theme park ride elements -Innovative use of technology in the set and puzzles, almost everything had tech -Beautiful, immersive, varied set design -Had video game elements -Some puzzles required physical movement and teamwork -No padlocks or number pads to open -Certain set elements felt like magic -There is no firm time limit but you get around 2 hours, I liked not being rushed -A nice narrative giving you a sense of adventure and exploration -Several "wow" reveals Minor nitpicks: -Random sci-fi references got to be a bit much and were immersion breaking -Some puzzles were a bit repetitive -Not the strongest puzzle design and not as creative as the set -Some parts of the set looked worse than others and lacked a bit of polish -One section gave us hints we didn't need, not sure if this was automated or triggered by the GM We played as a group of 5 and it worked well, I agree with the 4-6 recommendation. I preferred Attraction over Edison since there is a stronger narrative, more interesting/transformative/immersive set, and more sense of adventure/discovery. If you are a puzzle snob, you might like Edison more.

Not like any other room we've done. Very immersive and creative. It is long and we had some younger kids get bored. The puzzles were fun, very video game like.

I'm guessing they could modify things but as is it involves sitting/standing and physically moving around smaller spaces.

Puzzles were repetitive and felt like busywork. I nearly fell asleep halfway.

Not your typical escape room. More focused on immersive storytelling and showcasing tech. Very repetitive puzzles that weren’t challenging and felt like an afterthought. I like puzzles so I was disappointed by this room. Would only recommend if you value the experience over puzzles.

Absolutely loved the story, puzzles and gameplay. One of my favorites to date. I wanted it to keep on going! :)

We all know hype can kill a room experience, and given the rave reviews and proclamations of being possibly “the best room in the world” I suppose I couldn’t help but feel a bit let down. So allow me to be the one to lower your expectations a bit. The room is extremely ambitious but I feel like in the effort to create a technologically dazzling room they forgot the core principal of escape rooms; they’re supposed to be fun! Was it cool? Was it interesting? Unique? Creative? Certainly. But did I walk out feel exhilarated and ready to tell everyone they must go? Absolutely not. Much of the game play is task based and extremely repetitive. There is long stretches between the “ah ha” and the final solve. For a two hour room, it felt like a lot of it was filler. I typically prize atmosphere, narrative, and scenic quality over puzzles but the gameplay really dragged at times here and it brought the experience down. As far as scenic quality goes, this is a supremely ambitious room and I can’t help but applaud it. Thinking about how they pulled off some of the scene transitions is truly impressive. Despite that, even knowing a ton of money must have been poured into it, it often felt cheap. The video graphics especially felt really lackluster. There may be a slight narrative reason for it but it didn’t work for me.
Often very task based and sad to say it often felt quite repetitive and tedious.
Fantastic atmosphere, and you got to give them points for ambition. Though despite it being a premium experience, I couldn’t help but feel a lot of the props felt overly worn or cheap.
Our GMs for both games we played here were extremely lackluster. They performed their job at the minimum viable level, getting us in and out, taking a picture, providing hints so can’t really fault them but there was no enthusiasm and they didn’t seem well versed in how some puzzles actually worked when we asked for an explanation during the debrief.

One video screen was not working, but displayed an image of broken glass. We asked the GM if that was on purpose and he had no idea why it did that.
