  “As a disclaimer, I don't generally love horror. Having said that, I thought La Posesion was very polished and one of the types of horror that I do like - more spectacle/theatrical/ominous rather than chasing. The use of lighting to guide us, snappy reactivity to our actions, and actor performance was pretty much perfect. This was a modest game done very well. While I generally find horror games to be too dim, I thought this game did a good job of making things legible when called for. Sound levels were generally good except for the end, though I get what they were trying to do and am not too upset about that part.”

  “First, I must say that we played this game in Tension Mode, so my experience may be different than that of the many horror fans. The experience for me was the perfect level of horror. There is constant tension throughout, but clear times when the horror would rev up, so I was able to puzzle as well. The story was well integrated, and the puzzles had a clear flow.   “😱 A great intro to Spanish horror. The set really stands out here. Very strong first impression and quite foreboding. We had a blast traversing back and forth through each set piece and through each hallway. Fun scares and chases. Bravery tests. Splitting groups and seeing who comes out the other side.   “Puzzles 🧩: 8/10 Set/Wow Factor ✨: 9/10 Story/Immersion 🔮: 9/10 Fun factor 🤘: 8.5/10 Outline was a thrilling experience, in a massive and well-built set, with many puzzles, and game flow/design that were perfectly executed to have the intended effect on those who dare to play the game. We had two frustrating moments: the initial start (put in the right code in a keypad but didn't get any validation and had to push harder physically to open a door, losing quite a bit of time); found some clues to be unnecessarily ambiguous and poorly lit, but there were still some fun moments. While not being huge horror fans, the room was not as scary as you'd think (foreshadowing to prepare you when to expect a jump scare) making it more accessible, and we recommend actors if you are on the fence.”
