The Toy Factory

Today, both rooms from this provider were on our to-do list, and we started with this one. Parking was super easy right in front of the door. As soon as the door opened on time, the acting started immediately. The owner welcomed us already fully in character, and his charisma was amazing. It was a lot of fun interacting with him, and he did a great job of introducing us to the story. The story itself was relatively simple, but that was exactly what made it work so well. The setting was also really cool and nicely done. After the introduction, the game continued without an actor, which is also how it is described on the website. We really enjoyed the puzzles as well. They fit the room and the story very well and offered a good amount of variety. We especially liked that there were a few things we had never seen before in other escape rooms. Everything worked perfectly and, overall, the puzzles were simply a lot of fun. After the game, the owner took plenty of time to talk to us. You could immediately tell how friendly and likeable he is and how passionate he is about escape rooms. We had the chance to ask questions and ended up chatting with him for quite a while afterwards. It was a really nice way to round off the whole experience.

Very fun game, though it is a little spooky, which I didn't expect. That was great for us, but might be scarier for some kids. There was a lot to love about this game--unique plot, great interactions with the set and the actors, but also a few puzzles where we felt lost as to the next step. We also played Monster Mashers, by the same company, on the same day. Monster Mashers is a seamless experience and this game could be as well with a few small tweaks to tighten the flow. Overall, this is still a must play when in Belgium!

Great experience all around. You can see and feel that this is one of the earliest „narrative“ experiences of the dutch/belgian scene. And that is meant in the best possible way. Truly a treat. Also Great Host, of course!

This is one of my all time faves. Some brilliantly clever design and interactions I've never seen before. Loved it!

Just wow! An intense immersive experience from the moment you enter the building. Not sure who's saying this room isn't scary, though, I had a full blown crying panic attack due to fear! Still well worth doing the room, just be warned...

It was full of surprises - out of this world. Just a little too short if you are a good player. But still an incredible experience with great effects. Props. Athmosphere. DO IT!

A very solid room. Fun props, puzzles and decor. Even mix of physical and mental puzzles, and a good sense of progression.
