Do this for the set design, the performance, the atmosphere and for the fact that you can’t really find a experience like this. Like more rooms that are on the scarier side the puzzle are not complex. It’s a guided expedience and a interaction with the bates/ Gien story.

Bites Motel has the bones of something interesting. It is a Psycho-inspired twist with a genuinely impressive exterior environment and flashes of strong acting, particularly in the setup sequences. When it works, you can see what it's reaching for. The problem is that it too often doesn't work, and the reasons are structural. Feedback on completed puzzles is inconsistent (sometimes absent, sometimes so delayed that you're not sure whether you've done something or nothing). In a genre where forward momentum is everything, that uncertainty is corrosive. The story takes some unexplained left turns that feel less like intrigue and more like gaps in the script. And the space is simply too large for one GM to manage alone. The resulting delays and coverage gaps are noticeable and pull you out of the experience at the wrong moments. There are genuine highlights: a few puzzles that stand out as genuinely novel, committed performances in the early sequences, and an exterior that sets expectations higher than the interior consistently meets. The Psycho framing is a fun concept and the core premise is charming. Ultimately this is a room that works in moments rather than as a whole. Worth a look if you're a horror completionist or you love the source material, but go in with calibrated expectations.

Often, the difficulty was not with the puzzles themselves, but with the understanding of what we should be doing, what comes next, and whether we'd solved something or not.

This is about the best room we’ve done in Madrid this trip and it is well worth all the accolades. The setting is incredible and feels like you are actually there. From the very beginning to the very end we were completely immersed in the film with perfect puzzles to go with it and such a creative build. It’s not horror but it’s very scary, highly highly recommended. Thank you to our perfect host Diego who stayed in character perfectly and again made it such a superb experience

Bites Motel was a great nod to Bates. Bite The Fly graciously allowed us to start nearly an hour late following a train delay, and were super accommodating since we arrived with luggage in tow. The set was definitely a standout, the whole motel scene was wonderfully done. It could definitely use some sprucing up, but we still had a good experience. Not super scary, more tension, but still some exciting tests of courage and solo moments. 😱

Lots of traversal back and forth

The set was very impressive - a motel built inside a building. The room is based on the movie Psycho, so if you know the film there are some nice references. The acting was great with some tension and laughs, and the horror level was not too high for me. I rated the room itself, but our experience was unique. The room was FREEZING (we wore our jackets the whole time), and they accidentally gave us the wrong mode (the more scary mode) - the GM even admitted after, but blamed it on the fact he only slept 4 hours. For me, the horror level was still ok, but one team member was not having it. As an experience, this was in the top of my weekend, and I would definitely recommend it for enthusiasts visiting Madrid (but skip Tao Massage).

Design was great, but FREEZING.
The GM gave us the wrong mode and blamed it on his lack of sleep.

this set was HUGE. We signed up for the non scary version but our host turned it into medium scary which.. was definitely more fun and memorable but 3/4 of us were going psycho because of how scary it was. Was forces to go on a solo mission which I realllly did not want to do but looking back. it made such a good memory. Biggest escape room I’ve ever been to and definitely the most fun. This was very different from the escape room I’ve done in the US though, because there was basically no timer and it was just about the experience. Definitely recommend to others!

One of the highlights in my escape room life. As their other room Tao full of surprises and unusual challenges. Really stands out with respect to story telling and a guided immersive journey through an mindblowing setting. Outstanding performance of the game master Diego. Don't miss this!

Don't miss a stay in the Bates . . . I mean Bites . . . motel. The atmosphere is so realistic that I felt like was dropped into a movie set. While clearly a scary theme, the way that it was presented and the engagement you have with the actor/game master is so amusing and playful, that I think even a scaredy cat will be fine. I was really blown away by the set. The game flow kept you moving through the house in a flow that led to gradual exploration and did feel like you were creeping around someone's house in secret. I can't recommend this game enough. On our Europe tour of 33 top-ranked games, this one came in at #5 for me.

This room was SCARY! They have definitely made significant changes as previous google reviews mention tension setting not being scary at all. We originally asked for tension mode, but changed when we got there, but still terrifying (in my opinion). My partner, who enjoys scary things, said I’d be okay because of the website saying they’re not trying to scare you and the reviews, but even agrees afterwards, that it is definitely scary. There are also some gory moments. Although I was scared the whole time, this experience was really something else. They really built a whole house inside of a building. Our GM/actor was awesome and the second the room ended, he was asking how I was and what I thought of it. I would recommend doing this room and if you’re scared, and I would recommend letting them know, and they are pretty accommodating. Larger groups might be better during scary moments, but because it was just the two of us, I was a bit more nervous than usual.
