Mystery of the Magician's Study

Nice room in an old bank vault. Tricky puzzles. Definitely aging a bit, but still super fun.

We had a good time in this room but I’m glad we sandwiched it in the middle, as it’s the least impressive of their three. Some of the prop interactions were fun and clever, while others just involved following simple instructions. Still, I can think of at least three moments that really wowed me, so by no means a bad room!

This room should just be scrapped and replaced. A severe step down in quality compared to the other two rooms. Skip.

Far and away the least impressive room at Boxaroo. While the other rooms showed impressive innovation in set, story or puzzling, this is a bog standard room with outdated worn out props and uninspired puzzling. The other rooms are a must do, but you won’t be missing out on a thing to skip this one

This is a stellar room if you’re getting into escape rooms. This is my least favorite of the rooms at Boxaroo, but their quality is exceptional so even their weakest room is better than majority of rooms. This room isn’t without flaws. A few locks were sticky and wouldn’t open, some of the puzzles need refreshing. You also aren’t allowed to decide if you want hints; they are given to you automatically which is disappointing. We went in with a goal of no hints and before we could make the decision, hints were presented to us. I still highly recommend this room. I would start here if you plan to work through all three at boxaroo.

It was a fun room lots of details and hard puzzles we got out with 5 minutes left. For this room I would suggest doing it with more then 4 people

Probably my least favorite room out of their three, but still a very nice room and worth the play. As another review mentioned, there's a search puzzle that I don't particularly enjoy here, but it didn't slow us down significantly. We escaped with 2 people but 3-4 would be an appropriate amount.
